This life is not a perfect life. It is like a road. There are ups and downs; there are rough and smoothly cemented roads. There are traffic signs and detours. But the happiest thing in this journey of life is the time Jesus went on board and took the lead. Jesus said in John 10:10b, “I came for you to have life and have it abundantly.” This passage doesn’t assured us to have a complete happiness and joyride in our Christian life. It is because we are still in this fallen world where sins and temptations are everywhere. As it is stated in the song: “When friends betray us, when darkness seems to win, we know the pain reminds this heart that this is not our home.” Yes, it is not really our home! The very moment we receive Christ as our Lord and Savior, this world is not already ours and same with the world doesn’t own us anymore. In this Christian life, we will experience pains, hurts, grief, disappointments, trials, problems and tears. Sometimes it is too much to bear, too much to endure and too much for us to hold on. Many times, because of these problems, we doubt God. We doubt His love, His faithfulness and His goodness. We questioned Him why do we have to still bear this kind of pain? Why? Why is He allowing these trials to come to us? Sometimes because our minds are full of questions, we never mind and understand what His very purpose of allowing us to experience such pain. We didn’t realize the reasons behind all those tears. We are selfishly focusing on ourselves and our own benefits so we can’t see Him beside us, passionately comforting us. We are so busy focusing on the problems around us so we can’t see
