1. Social structure: The priest held high status and initially governed the city-state
2. Organized Government: the government was theocracy which means that the government ran by religion; also the government was a monarchy which means there is the king rule’s the land.
3. Religion: polytheism which means that they belief in more than one god.
4. Scientific & Cultural Achievements: invented the wheel which they used to make pottery and vehicles, also invented the plow.
Egypt (3100BC-1250BC)
1.1. Social Structure: pharaoh is at the top then goes the priests and at the bottom is the slaves and the peasants
1.2. Organized Government: the government was theocracy which means that the government ran by religious leaders; also bureaucracy was part of the government which means a highly structured organization managed by officials.
1.3. Religion: polytheism which means that they believed in more than one god.
1.4. Scientific & Cultural Achievements: built pyramids as tombs for kings, built an army that took conquered a lot of lands
India (2500BC-present day)
1.1.1. Social Structure: at the top is Brahmans, then come kshatriyas, then come the Vaishyas, then the shudras, and at the bottom are the untouchables.
1.1.2. Organized government: the government was theocracy which means that the government ran by religion.
1.1.3. Religion: Hinduism in which teaches that everything in the world is a power of Brahma; Buddhism teaches 4 noble truths and follow the eight fold path.
1.1.4. Scientific & Cultural Achievements: started Hinduism and Buddhism, they started the caste system
China (2800BC-221BC)
1. Social Structure: the king is at the top then comes the governors and at the bottom is the slaves or the peasants
2. Organized Government: also the government was a monarchy which means there is the king rule’s the land.
3. Religion: Buddhism teaches 4 noble truths and follows the eight fold path.
