Metamorphosis By Kranz Kafka

Humanity is constantly dividing themselves from the rest of the world, tearing each other apart without even knowing it sometimes. In the book Metamorphosis by Kranz Kafka, the protagonist named Gregor is turned into a gruesome insect, and is soon alienated from his family that he thought loved him. Throughout the book he continually grew further away from his family, thus destroying his relationship with the outside world and soon himself. In society, alienation is brought on by money, technology, and other human beings as it corrupts everything in its path, shredding modern society. This is due to the lack of money families have compared to others. Within the younger population, judgement is at its prime due to children’s growing mind of what is right and wrong. Something that does not contribute to helping, is allowing children to have devices and or expensive high brand clothing. Therefore if a child can not afford the “new” clothes, they will be looked as being different from children that have the new clothes (Mueller). Alienation doesn't just involve kids making fun of other children. It is also seen in older kids like in High school, one effect that can occur when a child is alienated, is violent actions. The violent actions that can occur is suicide (Mueller). This at the time can be seen as the only way to be brought into society, but this isn’t what all that can happen.
