Curley’s Reaction In the book Curly didnt seem that upset and he didnt even go to his wife in the barn, slim did. but in the movie he did have more of a reaction. but in both the movie and book he was determined to kill lennie.
Slim’s reaction to Curely’s wifes death was shocked becauce he though she was just sleeping. Hus reaction to Leinnie’s death was not bad. It tells us that he is a caring person & knows how the Curley felt when he lost his wife & how George felt when he shot Lennie
Slim and animals Slim said he would have just drowned the other dog is he hadn’t given it to Lenny. I think that it’s mean that Slim would kill the puppies just because he didn’t want them. I’m sure there are other people on the ranch that would be more than happy to take care of one of the puppies so it wouldn’t get killed. Sometimes there are just better way to do things.
Lennie’s Death I think George’s killing of Lennie was partially justified. George didn’t want anyone else to kill Lennie, just like how Candy said he wished he could have shot his dog instead of someone else. George probably wouldn’t have been able to live with himself if he allowed someone to kill Lennie out of hate. I guess George killed him out of protection, if that makes
Boss The boss is characterized by the narrarater by he says that the boss doesn’t talk much he just says what has to be said and moves on
Boss – Angry The boss was mad at George and Lennie because they showed up late in the first place and when the boss tried talking to him George did all of the talking. I think the boss had a reason to be mad at the two because if they wanted to job bad enough they could have atleast showed up on time to do the work.

Male Friendship

Of Mice and Men explores the dynamics of male friendship. When Lennie asks George to tell him why they're not like other ranchers, George explains that they're different because they have each other. Usually ranchers have no family, no friends, and,

One reason why killing is justified is that Lennie was not smart. He had some issues with him, he would kill pets by petting them to hard. He got mice that he killed and he killed his puppy. He forgets stuff too for example, “George… I ain’t got mine. I musta lost it.’ … ‘You never had none, you crazy bastard. I got both of ‘em here’” (Steinback 5). Lennie can’t take care of himself so, if George dies or gets hurt, no one is looking after Lennie and he could get himself in trouble, hurt, or killed. Therefore, George killing Lennie was justified because Lennie wasn’t smart.…
