I sit in my room wondering what my parents are doing without me. I know I’m not the only child, but I’m the youngest one of all four of my family members. I texted my mom asking her if she wanted to get pedicures and manicures some time, I miss seeing her and talking to her about everything. Everything thing and every one here they will talk to you about everything but they won’t take it in consideration they think it’s a joke and say that it will never happen. All I wanna do is talk and have some one listen to me, figure out the way I think, figure out where I wanna go. I understand this isn’t a normal journal about news or any thing happing in my life, but it’s more of a way to vent or get

People that are against say that its a gate way drug or it kills you, well in my opinion that is a load of bull shit considering weed isn 't a drug to me it’s more considered a herb that was invented by mother nature before man. It shouldn’t be regulated but taxed. People who are abuse the drug and do it a lot in my personal advice are people that either have problems medically or they have some type of anxiety or they have some kind of past addictive traits inherited. McNally and Harvey’s publication examines the role in which career and technical student organizations play in the career and technical education of students identified as having disabilities or special needs. To that effect, the article emphasizes the shared notion of self-determination within career and technical student organizations and individualized education plans. While acknowledging this emphasis, McNally and Harvey argue that career and technical student organizations avail students of a range of opportunities and methods to further compliment the goal of achieving self-determination for both populations.…

The campaign to legitimize what is called “medical” marijuana is based on two propositions: first, that science views marijuana as medicine; and second, that the DEA targets sick and dying people using the drug. Neither proposition is true. Specifically, smoked marijuana has not withstood the rigors of science–it is not medicine, and it is not safe. Moreover, the DEA targets criminals engaged in the cultivation and trafficking of marijuana, not the sick and dying. This is true even in the 15 states that have approved the use of “medical” marijuana.…

Opponents of medical marijuana argue that it is too dangerous to use, lacks FDA-approval, and that various legal drugs make marijuana use unnecessary. They say marijuana is addictive, leads to harder drug use, interferes with fertility, impairs driving ability, and injures the lungs, immune system, and brain. They say that medical marijuana is a front for drug legalization and recreational use. (http://medicalmarijuana.procon.org/)…

Infidelity is a sickness that can ruin relationships and tear families apart since it is a betrayal of the love that a husband entrusts in his wife and vice versa. In both fictional plays, Fences by August Wilson and Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller, infidelity is a clearly evident theme as both of the protagonists, Willy and Troy, betray their wives and have relations with other woman. Both men have a sense that what they are doing is wrong, but both continue to do so anyway. The major difference between the two men is the manner in which they conduct themselves while being unfaithful. Willy Loman is discreet and tries to hide his affair from his wife, Linda. While Troy, on the other hand, is much more open about the idea, even telling his wife he was going to be bringing home a new baby from the other woman. In both plays, infidelity affects not only the two men, but their family, as well; as it breaks the already fragile bonds they have with their family and ultimately…

According to Greydanus et. al. (2014), factors shown to suggest a higher risk for marijuana use included genetic factors, family history, minimal parental supervision, drug availability, high-risk peer group, and those with a need for higher thrill-seeking activities. Individuals vary greatly in respect to genetics, environment, behavioral traits, and cultural norms. When considering behavioral traits and personality, marijuana users are typically characterized by apathy, negative mood states, and loss of goal motivated behavior (Hurd et. al., 2014). When considering heritable genetic factors, Hurd et.al. stated that a growing number of family, twin, and adoption studies have shown that marijuana use disorder is strongly heritable, yielding a percentage of 30-80%. The author found that multiple factors can interact with one another and can contribute to vulnerability. Siegal et. al. (2015) claimed that being presented with an opportunity to use drugs is the first step of drug involvement. The authors further claimed that being around others who are…

Marijuana has been used recreationally as well as medicinally for thousands of years. The earliest evidence of inhalation of marijuana, a small pile of charred cannabis/seeds, was found in Romania and believed to be dated prior to the 3rd millennia BCE. Marijuana use is considered to be beneficial to some, however has been controversially classified as a schedule 1 controlled substance, making it as illegal as heroin, politicians claim it to be more dangerous than cocaine, with little to no factual basis. Based upon my personal use of medical marijuana, I have seen more positive than negative effects, and believe it should be decriminalized so as to ease the pain, suffering, anxiety,…
