Poor health habits 1. who want to stop a bad habit or start a good one Human being’s body needs healthy food. If people have poor eating habit, their body will have negative impacts. People must do more attention on what they eat and what they drink. Body metabolism is influenced by what we eat and contributes to either healthy being or illness in the body. The concentrating of this address the distresses of poor eating habit in a proposal decrease undesirable health complication associated with poor dietary habits. One of poor eating habits is eating fast food which gives bad weight and shape for human being. People should cook their food at home instead of eating outside which have too much salt, oil and fat. Those things give Bely fat and next it gives cholesterol, diabetics, and high blood presser and heart problems. I understand people can control the body weight by doing exercise but it is not enough. They must be know what they are eating and how much calories their body needs a day. I believer that healthy eating is designing a simple dietary program among the people who tries to control their body weight. Children’s diets may have side effects because their body needs enough minerals, vitamins, and portions to grow up but they need enough exercise to be healthy. So, individuals should put more attention on what they eat. We have to concentration on our health because our health is our Wealth. We can’t buy health with money. We can buy painkiller but it may give as another Sid effect. Alcohols and Smoking are the mean characterctics of unhealthy product. I wish people will stop taking those things. They are the cause of cancer, chronic illness, stress, sleeping disorder and depressions. If we do not stop taking those things, the coming generation will fellow us.     For many people, it is commonly known that eating fast food is not a good choice for the health and that it should not be a daily routine for everyday meal. Even though people do not see the specific nutrition fact labels in the restaurants, people already know that these meals from fast food restaurants are high in calories. Department of Health and Human Services (USDHHS) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), there has been a dramatic increase in obesity in the United States over the past 20 years. Obesity epidemic has affected every part of the world. When speaking about United States, more than 72 million adults are obese and there is not a single state that has an obesity rate less than 15 % (CDC Vitalsigns 2010). Among all Americans Obesity has been directly linked to hypertension, diabetes, cancer, depression and many other health problems. Each year, approximately 400.000 deaths result from obesity and its complications and costs the national economy nearly $122.9 billion annually (Menifield 2008). In addition, as of 2004, the proportion of obese adults in the U,S. reached 32% of the total population. Among adolescents, obesity has increased to 17.1% of the population between the 1999-2004 periods (Menifield 2008). This increase in prevalence has made obesity a threat to public health in United States. There are various reasons of obesity such as behavior, environment and genetic factors. One of the causes of obesity is energy imbalance. This means eating too many calories compared to physical activity. As we know that, nowadays people spend more time watching T.V and playing video games. Moreover food portion size has also increased not only at home but also in many restaurants. In addition, environment and behavior play a large role causing people to be overweight. People make decision base on their culture, values and beliefs.     The film Forks Over Knives could save lives by promoting a plant-based diet. The film demonstrates that changing diet can make a difference in a person’s health and save lives. Altering a person’s diet can improve health conditions such as diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. In the film, two doctors who were interviewed recommended plant-based diet to improve one of their patient’s blood pressures. The patient’s diet was changed from meat based to plant based. After several weeks of consuming plant-based diet the patient it was observed that blood pressure improved. Another positive effect of a plant-based diet is that it can reduce prescribed medications. The film shows that when the patient regularly consumes fruits and vegetables or plant-based diet blood pressure and cholesterol level improved. As a result, the patient was able to reduce prescribed medication and eventually saved money. The benefits of eating plant-based diet have shown that health conditions can be improved. According to the research and testimonies, Forks Over Knives encourages people to change from meat diet to plant-based diet since researches found that health conditions such as obesity and high blood pressure can be reversed hence a person will be able to improve health and save life. Moreover one source in the film, Dr. Esseltyn also discovered that consuming high amount of fruits and vegetables could deter cancer cell growth that will save lives. The film also points out that processed food could trigger cancer cells to reproduce and to prevent reproduction plant based diet was recommended.
