Microbiology is a field of science which typically is divided into several areas such as: bacteriology, virology, parasitology and immunology. To obtain a job in this field it is usually recommended to have a bachelor's degree in microbiology, but a higher degree will normally result in a better pay grade and it is much easier to obtain a job.
