Hercules was the son of the god Zeus, and was born a demigod. Hercules had great strength and very good stamina. He suffered much like mortals and could make a huge mess of things like man and women, but he could not perform deeds like mortals could. Although he couldn’t do what mortals could, the people of Rome and Greece liked him. Hercules was the kind of man whose life was full of disappointments. He was a symbol for man because whatever trial he overcame, he still was never defeated. The myth of Hercules is very comparable to the story of Samson in the Bible. Both men went through trials but they always came out strong in the end. The myth of Hercules is very similar to the story of Julius Caesar. They’re similar because Julius was strong and a well liked man among the people, but destruction came in the way and ultimately killed him. As you can see there are so many myths and they have been repeated over many years. Each myth has it’s own twist to it, but some myths intertwine and interlock.
