The clock made its chime.
Darkness filled the air.
Its three hours after nine
And he was very scared.
The air had no light.
He was all alone.
He was filled with fright,
And couldn't find his way home.
With nowhere to go,
He stopped and lay down,
The woods were nothing he'd know,
Which caused him to frown. then there was a flare,
Coming from afar,
Going to it was his dare,
Like him following a star.
He found the source of the light,
Was a man with a light so bright
And boy was at his surprise,
How he gained his lost life.

Analyses
The first four lines: are presenting us that a boy is out on the streets in the middle of the night unaccompanied and frightened. The second four lines: are interpreting that it was a pitch black night and he was all alone very frightened. It also tells us that he was probably on his way home and got lost and now he is has ended up in an unfamiliar place.
The third four lines: he was lost and he didn’t know where to go at this hour of the night he was frozen with fear you could say. Even if he would walk to some street he wouldn’t know where he would end up, all in all, he was disoriented. So he gave up hope and sat/lay down, he saw a wooden pole but he was still not familiar with his surroundings and where he was.
The forth four lines: tells that from a distance he saw a bright light shining in his eyes. He thought to himself whether he should go towards the light or not, because he wasn’t quite sure who it was, it could be a criminal or someone trying to find him to take him home.
The final four lines: is emphasising that he went towards the light taking a risk of being hurt. To his surprise, the source of the light was a man from his neighbourhood who was holding a lantern looking for some wood to light a fire in his house. The boy was so happy and he realised that he has found his way home and he will go with his neighbour and eventually he will find his house on the way.
