The Holocaust began in 1933 when Adolf Hitler came to power in Germany. It ended in 1945 when Allied powers defeated the Nazis.Jews were the Nazis’ primary victims, they resisted Nazi oppression in a variety of ways, both collectively and as individuals Miep was credited for risking her own life trying to save the Frank family, finding the diaries of Anne Frank, and publishing all of Anne Frank books.
Miep Gies was an amazing women. In the face of the horror of the Holocaust, and at the risk of her own life, she chose to step up and do the right thing. On November 9, Nazi storm troopers attacked Jewish homes, businesses, and synagogues across Germany, murdering about 100 Jews in the process.
