• What Zone were you in?
I finished playing all the 6 zones:
• 1(The Basics)
• 2(Obstacle Course)
• 3(The Brickyard)
• 4(Digging and Building)
• 5(Shapes)
• 6 (The Campground)
• How difficult was it to learn the skill?
Zone1:
It was not difficult, but the player needs to know how to play before start in order to not waste too much time in the first zone. The first zone teaches the player the basic skills that will need in the rest of MinecraftEdu levels. After spending some time playing in this zone, the player will figure out how to play and learn the basics skills needed in this game, not of course, all the skills, but some that will help the player to complete this zone and move to the next zone.
Zone2:
In this zone, the player will move from one side of the building to the other side and follow the instructions. After I finished zone one and figured out how to play, this zone became much easier to learn the skills and fun. In zone 2, if the player counters too much difficulty, for example, gets confused or do not know what to do, another player could help (Teamwork).
Zone3:
This zone was difficult but fun and excitement. In order to enter this zone, players must find a hidden key to open a locked door, which made it so much fun. In this zone, I cooperated with other players to find that hidden key, and we did.
Zone4:
The difficulty I faced here that when I started Digging and Building, I did not have good numbers of tools and supplement, which made me go back to digging and stop building to collect what I need. Everything ales were good.
Zone5:
In this zone, players need to be more careful and attentive. The Objective of this zone is Demonstrate competency at building and learn about different types of building materials and tools. I did not really like this zone because I lost for many times and I did know what to do, but with the team working, I did well.
Zone6:
This was the last zone. This zone was a great idea to end the game. The players have the choice of ending the game by exit the dark tunnel and follow the signs or as a team decide if we will sit around the fire and tell stories, or build our own houses.
• Where could this skill be used? (science, social studies, math.....) We can use these skills wherever we want in any subject such as Science, Social Studies, Math, Technology, and Vocational Issues because teachers could change the game to fit their lessons.
