March 3, 2003 (notes are from 2001), only 13 (actually 15) years ago, but there are large price differences. Simple things like bread,
eggs, and milk have increased about a dollar. Those may have increased a little but minimum wage is now 7.25, which is about a dollar fifty more than it used to be. Looking at that money seems good, but average income has gone down fifteen thousand dollars (it has actually gone up only one thousand dollars though, the paper says income of 68,300 but it was actually 52,704). Cars in their more advanced states have increased an insane ten-thousand dollars. This is a lot compared to all the other changes, but still understandable. The final thing that would be important would be a house which on average, in 2001, was 210,000 and is now 289,500 dollars. All these changes do not quite balance out, but it is not that insane.
