SWOT ANALYSIS FOR MIRANDA FOOTWEAR STORE
A shoe is an item of footwear intended to protect and comfort our feet while doing various activities like, running, walking, jogging and more. Shoes become the most famous accessory in the world for it is not just made in leather, rubber, wood or plastic but it has also a style and design that makes it expensive and stylish. Shoes are basic necessity of us human for it is our protection for our feet. We don’t need our shoes to be stylish or expensive as long as we can wear it comfortable and can protect our feet.
Footwear industry covers a range of products that includes sports shoes, dress or casual shoes, slippers and sandals. Production of footwear in the country is concentrated in metro manila, where about 43% of all shoe manufacturers are situated within the area of Marikina (source: http//:www.studymode.com). Footwear companies market and distribute their products thru own boutique stores like Miranda footwear store. The store sells different kinds of footwear and offers products for men, women and children.
Miranda footwear store was founded by Mrs. Lourdes and his husband Mr. Sergio Miranda. They started at the capital of 80,000, they sell “bakya” from baclaran and years passed they were able to sell black shoes and other footwear. After the success of the business, Mrs. Lourdes decided to migrate to California but because she just can’t leave the business, her eldest daughter; Ms. Ennida inherited the business but the obstacle was just starting. In the year 2001 the business was one of the stores who were victim by the fire when the public market was burned.
