Information technology is changing jobs, business, society and the world at large. IT makes the works of today’s executives, managers and decision makers more and more exciting. As a student of the MBA program of Bangladesh Open University (BOU), I need to prepare a report as a partial requirement & fulfillment of MBA program. The university has assigned me to prepare the master paper under the supervision of Md. Salah Uddin, Assistant Professor, Department of Management, Jagannath University, Dhaka.
Information systems provide an organization with support for business operations, managerial decision making & strategic advantage, For that purpose, I have already tried to collect some data regarding MIS of Agrani Bank Limited by the interview of some key personnel who are working with MIS of the Agrani Bank Limited . Objectives of the study:
The objectives of the study are as under:
► To know the information systems of Agrani Bank Limited for business operations,
► To know the managerial decision making systems of Agrani Bank Limited,
► To know the strategic competitive advantages of Agrani Bank Limited,
► To know the contribution of MIS in human resource system,
► To know the contribution of MIS in accounting system,
► To know the contribution of MIS in financial system.
1.9 Rationale of the study:
Most of the information of the report should be collected from the practical experience & different analytical MIS report of Agrani Bank Limited. This paper would be very good tool to learn MIS implementation in some other similar kinds business organizations in Bangladesh.
Besides this, it will learn how a business can use information technology to design organizations that are competitive and effective, how firms can understand the business & system requirements of a global economic environment, how organizations can develop information architecture that supports their business goals, how organizations can determine
