This was my first time and I was extremely nervous to go to the top because I am scarcely afraid of heights. I recall walking to the top and saying to my friends, ‘I do not think I can do this. It goes too high.’ They just kept telling me, ‘Just try it once. I promise it will be fun.’ So what we decided to do was start lower and go to the halfway point. This is where many of the younger children went with their parents. So a few of my friends and I went to the half way point and all got in the water and on the inner tubes. We were all holding hands staying connected as we floated down the stream. The ride down the half jump was sufficient. Through the clear water, I could see the sharp, jagged rocks sitting there just waiting to jump into someone’s leg. But on the lower level of the stream, the water was calm and just barely kept the rafts moving. So then after we got to the bottom of the torrent, my friends talked me into trying the big drop. I was terrified to complete this task, but with my friends, I knew I could accomplish anything. So we walked to the top of the creek and rode down the drop individually. Before the four foot drop, I almost flipped my raft, but I had the balance to keep myself from flipping. Then, once we all hit the drop, I was the only one who flipped. My knee did hit a rock but I did not feel it until later on towards the end of the stream. However, I did not cut my knee open, it just scraped a tad and bruised and knotted
