This is just one instance of how one man’s dream changed an entire nation. In the pursuance of a dream, one must work very hard for what they want. Jesse Owens, an African American, track and field Olympian, once said, “We all have dreams. In order to make dreams come into a reality, it takes an awful lot of determination, dedication, self-discipline, and effort.” This means that we can not just wait around and expect our dreams to come true. We have to go out and work for what we want because things will not just be handed to
One of the biggest reasons that people do not go after their dreams is because they are afraid of being mocked. Not everyone will have the same dream. People will always have something to say about others. It could be encouraging or rude. Sadly, many people will try to tear others down and try to stop them from pursuing their dream. People will stand in others way because they are afraid to see anyone else succeed or become better than them. We must not let others tear us down and mock our dreams.
