Mitochondria and chloroplasts are different in the fact that mitochondria are involved in cellular respiration whereas chloroplasts are involved in photosynthesis. Mitochondria are found in all animal and plant cells but chloroplasts are found in only specific types of plant cells. Chloroplasts
also contain pigments, while mitochondria contains no pigments. Lastly, mitochondria and chloroplasts have different final electron acceptors. The final electron acceptor in mitochondria is oxygen whereas the final electron acceptor in chloroplasts is NADP.
