Among all the war movies, Dunkirk is one you should never miss! Directed by Christopher Nolan, who had also directed The Dark Night, and acted by Fionn Whitehead, Harry Styles etc., Dunkirk creates a visual feast to its audience.
The film, Dunkirk, tells about the story of the evacuation of Dunkirk in the World War Ⅱ. At that time, 400,000 English and French soldiers were besieged on the beach of Dunkirk by the German army. Faced with the approaching Germans, they had to struggle to survive. The movie vividly represents what happened in history and brings you a sense of despair while watching it.
The cinematography is better than average levels of many same-subject movies. Dark blue and green are the predominant colours of Dunkirk, along with brown, grey, black, which forms the depressed environment that the soldiers are existing in. Every frame is lifelike and inviting, when you are watching it, you will feel as if you are also a soldier in the film. For example, in a shot, scores of soldiers are trapped in a cabin. The door is locked tightly while the water is pouring in.
