Possibly the largest aspect of the model minority stereotype. Education is a key component to the myth and is most linked to the topic. This is one part of how and where the Model Minority is seen to be a good or positive stereotype for Asian Americans. The general belief of the Model Minority when it comes to Education is a focus on high academic standards and achievement. In which Asian students excel in multiple subjects and contents but particularly in the sciences and math. Thus according to the stereotype Asian students are earning high grades and test scores which allow them to enter higher education and to be able to go to more prestigious schools.
