Monarch Books' Cafe: Analysis
The following is a recommendation from the Board of Directors of Monarch Books.
"We recommend that Monarch Books open a café in its store. Monarch, having been in business at the same location for more than twenty years, has a large customer base because it is known for its wide selection of books on all subjects. Clearly, opening the café would attract more customers. Space could be made for the café by discontinuing the children's book section, which will probably become less popular given that the most recent national census indicated a significant decline in the percentage of the population under age ten. Opening a café will allow Monarch to attract more customers and better compete with Regal Books, which recently opened its own café."
1.Write a response in which you discuss what questions would need to be answered in order to decide whether the recommendation is likely to have the predicted result. Be sure to explain how the answers to these questions would help to evaluate the recommendation.
The Author in his arguments asserts the need for opening a cafe at the cost of discontinuing children's book section to attract more customers. The author justifies his assertion by referring to a national census conducted recently indicating a decline in the population of children under age ten. Although this measure seems agreeable at the outset, the various statistical data governing and involving the book store businesses need to be well analysed before drawing conclusion. After all these modifications at Monarch book store is aimed at improving from its current business ranks and not to downgrade to lower standards.
Firstly,Opening a cafe at the book store can reduce the customer base than increasing it for the following reasons. People frequenting the book stores are mainly in thirst of knowledge. The introduction of cafe can result in more littering, more crowded and noisy environment. This can in turn deflect many regular customers due to the lack of good

The Broadway cafe is a family inherited coffee shop located in downtown Atlanta, Georgia. The cafe ' has been in business for 58 years. The business offers specialized coffees, teas, a full service bakery, homemade sandwiches, soups, and salads. It was once a hotspot but for the past five years business has been declining. Although my grandfather was very adroit at managing the business, Starbucks will be coming to the area. My grandfather never used computer and everything was manual including ordering and employee payroll. He had terrific memory and he knew his all customers. All recipes for homemade soups and baked goods were in his memory. The café didn’t have a marketing scheme in place to attract new costumers. To bring café into 21 century we needs new technology like providing wireless hotspot, customer database, build an e-business strategy, create an online community for collaboration, deploy a wireless network for customers and use customer relationship management to implement marketing campaigns and sales strategies.…

Once you state the author’s full name, you may simply refer to the author by his or her last name. Check to see if you did that. If not, cross out the author’s first name throughout. I am really, very, like so excited that you are about to check for word choice. Circle any first or second person that you see, as well as filler words like, “like,” “really,” and “very.” Check to make sure that your analysis is long enough. Does it reach the end of the page? If not, draw a line to the bottom and write, “too short.” Also, make sure that it is not too long. I will only read 3 lines over one page, and after that, I will start taking off points for your analysis being too long.
