Monkey's Paw Short Story

In the short suspense story, Monkey's Paw by W.W. Jacobs the theme is to change your fate or there will be consequences. For example, the Whites wanted to make themselves rich by wishing for two-hundred pounds. The consequence of this wish was the death of their son during his work at the mill. Then a man came to after their son's death saying that they felt responsible for his death and that he will give them two-hundred pounds as their way to say sorry. After that, they wished to bring back their son from the dead. Their conseguence was that there son did come back, but posibly trying to kill them.
