Monologue For Clep
Hello Buddy,

I got almost all the answers about the CLEP. I apologise that I am asking you again, but I have two last questions (which I already asked Lydia, but maybe it is miscommunication).
Will I be able to access any materials? Like sample of the test or study material?
Should I wait until the next course after MATT will start or can I start it instead of MATT and do the CLEP preparation same time?

Thank you for your help and I apologise for all my questions.

Context: After the hanging of John Proctor, Reverend Hale left for Beverly, his home town. He left a broken minister and went in a search to find himself again, wallowing in self-pity and hatred of himself; he stayed in Beverly for the next two years, not even going to Church. He could not bring himself to go, as he counted himself John Proctor’s murderer, along with countless others. After his two years of seclusion Reverend Hale decided that he needed closure, more than that, he needed to ask for John Proctor’s forgiveness.…

    The Monk Monologues

During the Middle Ages, men thought tat the world was a wicked place and the Wrath of God was being shone through famine, storms, lightning, thunder, and sickness. To escape it they built a large building and called it a Monastery. The Monks that lived there wanted to serve God with their souls. Not long after this happened, there were monasteries in every Christian land. There was a monk named Benedict, he made a series of rules for his Monastery, soon most of the other Monasteries adapted his original rules. Monks normally wore coarse wool cloth, with a hood to cover their heads, and a cord around their waist for a girdle. The gowns of the Benedictines were normally black so they were called “black monks’’. Many years…

We waited a little bit, I heard Mrs. Hall announce us and the curtain went up. Mrs. Hall had Mrs. Austin give a pitch and Mercury began with his solo I thought it was really good. Then basses came in I was shocked a little bit. I could tell it was loud enough for the audience to hear. The tenors came in I was praying I wouldn’t mess up. I was trying to remember not to have a dull, terrified look on my face. I was trying I thought everything was going well. Also I had to turn on my candle.…

Within this monologue Rosalind is talking about how it's not the fashion for woman to be ending a play it's not usually seen in other play so it's some what strange. This monologue has elements of comedy in it which was something that I was really interested in including and considering when I was choosing monologues. Throughout the monologue Rosalind is going on about how a good play doesn't necessarily need an epilogue, however it can enhance the quality of the play. She then claims that as she is not dressed as a beggar she will not beg the audience for an applause. This is where I think I would be able to add humour into this, however it would be a little difficult to keep it up as I don’t fully understand the monologue and it isn't really that long and most requirements for auditions are around 4 minutes and this lasts around 2 or 3.…

The indirect interior monologue we get next is essential. There is something seriously affecting Henry— his faith is being tested— and what he once found comforting is now not. He is worried and this worry is mentioned twice in one paragraph. Henry also admits his sadness. Now compare this segment to the exchange between him and his wife. He does not tell her of this sadness, his worry or his confusion. He clearly thinks about her own lack of faith, but does not ask her about that either. Instead, we have what seems a normal Sunday morning. Henry is going off to church, content, happy. But Henry’s interior shows readers that this is not the case at all. This is a man who is layered, multifaceted and we would not know about these layers if…
