Monologue Of John Proctor

My name is John Proctor, I consider myself to be a rebellious, logical, noble, and handsome young man. Today I am here to talk about my story, a story that changed my life and one that I learned from and never forget. I shall start by stating the truth that I have a good reputation in my village and married to Elizabeth Proctor, she is my wife in which I would cut my hand off to reach out to her. I am an angel of this world and I do no – wrong, but I am caught with one major flaw of my own, which is the affair I had with my servant of the house, the maid if I must say, Abigail Williams, while I was married. It was the fault of my own, a nonsensical, brainless decision on my part. My wife Elizabeth found out about this obscene situation and kicked out Abigail and fired her from her duties. Abigail then still desired to be with me and was nearly obsessed. I tried to resist her attention as much as I could, and even insulted her. When Betty wakes up everyone was unaware and putting assumptions that she is bewitched. Later on I was speaking to my wife of the rumors of many people in the village
When that moment came all the accusers testified that Marry Warren bewitched them! I found that to be a staggering lie and a cowardly attempt to support their lie. I turned so angry that then I confessed of my affair with Abigail and even stated of her jealously toward my wife. I spat out the truth so rigorously, I may not have not been thinking clear at the time. The Judge then brought my wife up to test to see if I was telling the truth, the judge asked her if I was ever unfaithful to her. She answered with a lie to protect my reputation in the village, the judge then calls me a liar. Abigail and the other accusers then go back to their gimmick as Mary bewitching them.
