“ Bea call the authorities tomorrow, I have some confessing to do.” I say to the V.A, that lives in my house.
“Noted, anything else Jannet?”
“Make a note saying ‘I killed Ruby'.”
“ That's an odd request, but yes, it's done.” Bea mumbles, still offset.

fleece bed and snuggle up.
“The best part of living in 2100 is the pulsing, heating, blanket.” I envisage as I dose into a hard and deep slumber.
As the next day rises, I brace myself for the terrible dream to come.
In the dream poor little Ruby, back in the last place I encountered her, or anyone did for that matter. Were back in the forest, Ruby leans against a tree unconscious, a lion walks up behind her. I grab my gun and shoot, but I don't shoot the right target. I awaken up always at the same part, as Ruby hits the floor and I become a …show more content…
murderer.
Something about waking up to an empty house is unsettling, but rousing up to a funeral of the person you slaughtered is worse, not many can relate. I get dressed in my black ensemble , somber as ever, guilty nonetheless. Out of the corner of my mirror I see a red patch. I turn around to see blood everywhere, I squint my eyes.
“ Im dead, you're at fault, come clean, or die trying.”
I look horrified, I back away tripping over myself.
I cant even fathom who I am at this point. That evening I didn't go to the funeral, I should have, because I was too afraid. Afraid of visioning Ruby that way, scared of the shame, and lastly embarrassed of myself. My hands were red, physically and metaphorically, but only I could do something about it. I sprint, run as fast as my feet can take me, I feel hot tears rushing down my face as I approach my death. The police station was quiet, that was until I barged through the glass doors. A serviceman grabbed me, as I nearly fall on my face.“ I murdered her, she's gone and I did it, arrest me!” I bellowed , adrenalin pushed through me, pulsing in and out of my veins, and that's where I faint. The police man wakes me up “ Jannet we are aware, but we have news for you.”
“ Yes officer what is it?' My hands trembled.
“ You didn't extripate her.” He divulged those last two words cautiously, as if expecting me to be aggressive. My ears rang, I wanted to fight, to and kick and hurt this man telling me lies. But I couldn't, I felt I was trapped in my own web of lies. I couldn't breathe, my world was ending, the room was
spinning.
“ I….. I'm…. I don't….. WHAT?” I'm still flabbergasted as I whisper those words.
“Ruby come on out!” The Officer yells, as Ruby skipped on out. I stand up, my nails digging into my skin, my face seething with anger.
“ Janet don't you see Ruby. She's alive and no longer your problem!”
“Oh, I see Ruby alright!” The words hissed out of my mouth as I leeched forward, my arms around Ruby's neck.
“ If I didn't have blood on my hands before, I will now!” I screamed. A sharp pang hits me in the back of the head, then another in my ankle. My body goes woozy and I faint.
When I rose the next morning, I was hoping to be back in my own bed, not strapped to a table.
