But some people say that it is all a big hoax. Some people have said that Stanley Kubrick, a filmmaker, may have helped NASA fake the first landing, because in 1968 he made the film 2001 A Space Odessey. Some say it proves that the technology existed back then to artificially create a fake space setting. Other people say that the United States flag planted in the ground on the moon appears to be waving in the wind, but there’s a problem with that, there is no wind on the moon. NASA explains this pretty simply, saying that they were fully aware of the moon’s lack of wind, so they inserted a rod in the flag to make sure it didn’t just hang down, but in the photos it looks like the flag is still blowing in the wind. Again NASA has an explanation, which is basically that the flag got all creased in storage, making it appear to be waving in the photos.
