Morals In Shakespeare's Romeo And Juliet

In the novel “Romeo and Juliet” by Shakespeare, there are many stories and morals combined in one. Many have different views on this book, some are good and others are bad. Through this essay I will be explaining why Romeo and Juliet is an outstanding novel that creates very good morals that brings the attention to others. I will also be explaining why Romeo and Juliet is an amazing learning opportunity for high school students, that teaches us to let old wounds go, and to actually think about our decisions that involve our emotions. Many view Romeo and Juliet as a tragic love story, that took place because of their family’s rivalry. Others think that they are just two teenagers that made rash decisions for no reason. Though these two statements have some truth, there is a lot more to the story. This story tells us how strong a person’s love can be. Though they probably shouldn’t have rushed their marriage and came clean to their family, they proved to their families that no rivalry is worth bloodshed. It teaches us to think through our decisions involving our emotions and infatuation, it also teaches us that no argument is worth losing someone that plays a very big role in your life. Lastly, having this novel in our curriculum can be very beneficial to us because we can truly relate to the lives in this story in our own way. Overall, everyone has different views of this book, but we can all relate to this story in our own way no matter what. This story can truly teach you many things that we soon are going to use in life. If we do not have this in our curriculum we will be missing out on a very beneficial life lesson that some people do not have, or did not
