Most Memorable Moment
Most Memorable Moment

Memories, memories, memories some make you laugh, get angry, even cry but the one thing is for sure they all share a place deep in our hearts. I have so many memories but the one which stands out most in my mind, heart and soul is when I graduated in high school last 2012.

It was the most memorable moment for me because for how many years, my effort and hard works are all worth it. There are ups and downs on my high school years, but I did not surrender, instead when I got failing grades, I am more encourage to study hard so that I will get good grades. In my high school years, I encountered a lot of challenges like there had been times that I got in trouble to my parents because of my friends and my “barkadas”. My parents are not happy when they knew who my friends are because they said my friends are bad influence to me. But I didn’t listen to them; I always go with my friends and have fun. So my parents decided to send me to U.S. to continue high school. I went to school there for like 5months but I’m always begging my mom that I want to go back in the Philippines and fortunately my mom said yes, but I stopped 1year and went to another high school. That is just some of the memories I always remember in my high school days. I had lots of experiences on my high school, but the best thing about it is that in any challenges and experiences in life, there are lessons that need to be learned.
Our parent really knows what’s best for us. We should always remember that they are there for us always no matter what happens, so we need to follow our parents and try not to be stubborn.

We must realize the power of the seemingly little decisions we make all day, each day. Decisions that happen in a blink of an eye carry with them the consequences that will shape our personalityArticle Submission, determine our integrity and control our destiny.

I have moved around quite a bit which means there have been many significant moments in my life, but one seems to stand out, It happened a few months after I moved to my sixth school, Parkers Prairie High School. While I was only in seventh grade, I was still considered a high-schooler because of the way the district functioned. This meant that I had harder classes and more homework, but it also meant that I could participate in high school clubs, so I became part of the PPHS Knowledge Bowl Group. A significant event in my life is when my team won a Knowledge Bowl Meet because I got out of school, I got to meet new friends, and it gave me a strong sense of accomplishment.…

A defining moment in my life was my 8th grade graduation. To most people who went to Hopkins, this may not seem like a big deal but to me, attending a private Christian elementary/middle school for the past 10 years was kind of a big deal. I had just spent the past 10 years with about the same 18 people and just like that- we would never see each other at school together ever again. The switch from a parochial middle school to a public junior high was difficult. The fact that I was no longer with my friends who I build strong relationships with hurt me a lot. It was hard to make friends in 9th grade because I missed all of my old friends so much. This gigantic transition changed many parts of who I thought I was. When at a religious school,…

Early that morning my parents took us to the bus station. The bus was leaving at 6 a.m. in the morning to get to Austin, TX at midnight. My daughter and I felt it was the longest drive ever as the bus was very full and kept stopping. Finally, we arrived to Austin at midnight. I had to walk around for some time until I found a cab to take us to the hotel. I was scared and nervous. I was all alone with my daughter in a city we didn't know. The proudest moment in my high school career is when I signed myself to take my first AP class. I was really nervous about going to the meeting to sign myself up to get the summer assignment because I felt that I was not ready for the work load, and I would not be able to pass the class. My excuse for not going to the meeting was that I was helping in the cafeteria and I was really late, but when I told my two best friends Jenny and Virginia that I wasn't going to take it anymore. They got so frustrated and annoyed with me because they said I was stupid if I didn’t take AP calculus because that was my favorite subject and I needed a challenge of class. They also made me remember when I would tell them that Math Analysis was easy and a lot of…
