It is vital for a manager to understand and know how to provide motivational methods. Every individual is different and they all have strengths in different skills. As a manager it is important for me to recognize each employee and apply motivational methods that would benefit each employee as an individual. The three motivational techniques that I would use would be employee motivation through job rotation, job enlargement and job enrichment.

The benefits from job rotation, job enlargement and job enrichment are increasing high. By applying these methods and techniques, it will motivate the employees to achieve the goals in the entire department.
Employee Motivation

Utilizing the two previous methods of motivation based on the needs of staff, a manager can then create jobs by assigning the required tasks to those individuals who are appropriate to accomplish job performance and job satisfaction for themselves as well as the organization. To make the future changes the organization is anticipating it is essential that the managers utilize their skills to “tailor job design” (Lombardi, Schermerhorn, 2007), to fit the strengths of staff with their own specific qualities and needs, this includes four specific areas, one, job simplification: identifying work processes and tasks for staff to work in clearly defined and specialized tasks. Managers can utilize lesser skilled staff to perform duties of lesser complexity, allowing others with higher skill levels to focus on areas of greater need. Job rotation allows the manager to create flexibility and understanding of other areas, creating a better relationship and moral between departments. Job enlargement integrates or combines tasks previously done by separate workers, this is an option that a manager should do with caution because it could have an opposite reaction to the motivation they are trying to create. The final alternative in job design is job enrichment which is essentially delegating some of the responsibilities of the manager to another individual creating a broader scope to their current position and…

One motivational technique that I would use is motivation through self- confidence. When individuals have a high level of self- confidence and self- esteem it reflects in a positive way in all that they do. I would use various techniques like implementing passion and pleasure in what they do at work. Giving rewards helps employees to want to do more they are pleasing and help to keep employees eager to work while it also keeps productivity high. Recognizing and giving performance incentives gives employees a more willingness desire to give more to the company while earning something for these selves. As a manger being clear not only the job duties they are responiable for but also in the instructions that I am giving helos employees to understand my expecitations, giving detailed instructions, including being specific in what my expectations are gives a clear cut expectation on what I am expecting out of my staff. Keeps employees not only informed but it eliminates confusion.…
