Motivational Speech (Poor)
I am not here to tell you to surrender your needs to the poor, to get rid of hunger, or to bring world peace.
I am here to talk about making the right choices and creating a positive influence on others.
Making the right choices will eventually lead to success but that does not mean it will be a smooth road towards it. It will be a tough road with tough choices.
Every 16 minutes someone in the United States commits suicide. These people saw the obstacles in their way as too high to climb over and instead of making the right choice they chose the fast way out, taking their own lives.
Even if we are making the right choices decisions like these may knock on our door. Those decisions are not there to stop you, but to challenge you. Michael Jordan once said “I have failed over and over and over again. And that is why I succeed.” If you stumble along the way to your goal don’t be a pessimist and get back up. You will have learned from your experiences, which will help you make the right choices in the future. You need to find the solution to your problems. If you are having a hard time looking for it get help.
If you know you can use some help, don’t hesitate to ask for it. No matter what gets in your way, find a path around it. Make sure it is the right path though. Don’t take the fast but wrong way out even if it is the most common one. Don’t let anything pull you back from your goals and dreams. You need to be optimistic and move forward one step at a time no matter the circumstances.
While making the right choices, you will create that positive influence on others that will help you reach success. As you’re making the right choices, people will look up to you. You will be respected and you will inspire those around you to follow similar paths to the one you took. Making people feel like they can change and succeed is a great positive influence.
If one of your goals is graduating, make the right choices in school. Review that study guide one last time. Do
