Very few motorists get behind the wheel of their vehicles thinking that they will be involved in a collision. This may impact their ability to obtain compensation for the damages they suffered as a result of the

In this paper, I will discuss the Motorcoach Run-Off-the-Road and Rollover that occurred on U.S. Route 163 Mexican Hat, Utah January 6, 2008. I will begin by discussing how most departments make routine traffic accidents daily on shift. Comparing the preparation between a large city and smaller city. I will then explain on how safety has been of importance of the design of the automobile but cannot take into account driver fatigue. Next I will discuss some of the important facts on the incident from how it happened, patients, response, mutual aid, and preparedness. Following with lessons learned from the incident on how preparedness is key for training to get better and responding for mass casualty incidents and how surrounding jurisdictions should get together to take an inventory of all resources they have so that when needed they can be called upon to send the appropriate support. Finally, applying these…

He was driving down a road where there was a bad accident on the other side, emergency vehicles such as fire trucks and ambulances were everywhere. His lane was pretty clear and moving however the car in front of him abruptly slammed and their brakes and stopped in the middle of the lane. My father did not have to react fully and when he slammed on his brakes his car was not able to come to a complete stop and ended up ramming into the car that stopped in front him. This car stopped to take a look at the accident that was the other side of the road which is just plain ironic since they ended up causing an accident of their own. Luckily in the accident my father was involved in both parties involved turned out okay and virtually unharmed. However, my father’s car is most likely totaled although we will not know for certain until we take it in to be checked. Most car accidents, with and without injuries are because people exceed the speed limit, using cell phones, and lack of attention. It is very sad that millions of innocent people lose their lives every year because of ignorance.…

Inexperience: Inexperience can cause accidents because people don’t know what they are doing and therefore can panic and cause collisions or can drive too fast for their skill level and cause collisions in that way. The worst thing people can do is drive to slow for example if someone is driving to slow they could merge into a roadway driving to slow and be rear ended. There have been many occurrences of people driving with inexperience and causing collision due to it. The easiest way to reduce collisions caused by inexperienced drivers is to have them start on a private road and a parking lot until they are comfortable in the vehicle then having them start driving in different conditions until they are comfortable enough to try driving with varying levels of traffic.…
