Mr. Bono Research Paper
Mr. Bono has travelled through life as many of us have first, being taught by our parents’ life lessons and second, we strike out on our own to experience and learn from others. Third, throughout life we reflect not only on our everyday life but question why are we here? Reflecting on Mr. Bono’s own words he finds simplicity in the person of Christ and that He is all loving. As he states, being transformed by Christ is easy, acting in the same capacity as Christ is complicated. Receiving Christ’s love and then spreading that love becomes complicated. I or we believe, (creeds) is the beginning of our affirmation to God that we recognize who He is and what He has done. Accepting God in the Old Testament was very difficult, therefore, God was the father that was stern, demanding and all done with love. We all can relate growing up and wanting that a one-on-one relationship with our parents, that we may feel special and loved. In the creeds, we profess our knowledge of what He did for us, through his sacrifice that we may obtain …show more content…
Being in the presence of other believers gives you the comfort and understanding that people are sinners but there are many who do good in small and great ways, without any thought other than serving humanity with love. “As you reap, so you will sow.” Religious are not religious we all believe we should treat all people as you would like treated. Bono expresses, as we all do, no matter how sinful we are, we must pray for forgiveness, do better to resist temptation and most of all forgive others. Also, the death of Christ on the cross took on the world sins. Jesus plainly states that he is the Messiah, but people do not want to believe. The average person may come in contact with Jesus and all they wished was proof through miracles. In a 24-hour period He comes and goes then they go back to their normal

Countless people are familiar with the term Samaritan, but the amount of people who comprehend the actual meaning of the word is scarce. The term ‘Good Samaritan’ derives from a parable told by Jesus Christ and is mentioned in the bible. In the story, the ‘Good Samaritan’ witnesses a “half dead man”, so he “[takes] pity on him”, and offers him bandages along with shelter (Luke 10:30-35). This parable is evidence that assisting strangers is existent from the beginning of human history, excluding the minority who choose not to aid a soul in need. In order to prevent this from happening, force must be used to help the victims of injury. The United States of America…

The mold is placed into the machine. On one end of the machine there is a reciprocal screw in a heated barrel. The plastic is fed into the barrel, which in turn feeds it into the screw. The first section of the screw holds the plastic together so that it starts to melt. Moving a little further up, the threads on the screw become thinner. This because the barrel is heated and the pieces of plastic are being pushed together and rubber together, the plastic melts. At the tip of the screw there is a piece which holds the plastic in place until enough plastic has been stored to push into the mold and complete the mold. Now that the plastic has been melted, it needs to be injected into the mold before it hardens and dries. Using a hydraulic push, the machine pushes the screw forward at up to 300 psi, blasting the plastic into the mold at an immense rate. Finally, when the product has been cooled, it is removed from the machine.…

Giving (verb): to freely transfer the possession of (something) to (someone); hand over to. When one gives to someone or does something special for someone, it is a win-win situation. In fact, the feeling of happiness is always mutual in those cases. No matter how big, small, concrete, or abstract the act of kindness is, it will go a long way nevertheless. The winter season - that is, the season for giving - is approaching, and it is a great time to “kick off” the amiable gestures for family and friends now. For me, personally, I would like to help cook a tasty dessert for my family to marvel over.…

“No one in the community was starving, had ever been starving, would ever be starving.” (Lowry 89). The Community in The Giver is called a utopian society, what is a utopian society? Webster Dictionary says, “an imaginary place in which the government, laws, and social condition are perfect...” Even though they may be “perfect”, utopian societies never really work out, and usually people have to take risks in order to change the society. In the novel The Giver by Lois Lowry, Jonas takes risks by, helping family members, doing what he thinks is right, and helping friends see the truth.…

Because God loves us, He sent his only Son and let Him die. He also revels to us that love needs to be encountered, and experienced in order to not to be senseless. We see ethical discovery of our dignity in the image of God. As mentioned above, the document also highlighted the importance of human dignity as one of the main roots for the Church and its activity; “the dignity that each human being has Page 3 reached and can continually reach in Christ, namely the dignity of both the grace of divine adoption and the inner truth of humanity, a truth which-if in the common awareness” (RH12). This great truth is one of Church's basic messages to everyone in the world, showing that God truly loves us. A new life is given by redeeming mankind and erasing the past. Church wants everyone to find Christ “in order that Christ may walk with each person the path of life, with the power of the truth about man and the world” (RH 14). Life which is connected by the mystery of incarnation and redemption. As the Pope wrote, “Christ, the new Adam, in the very revelation of the mystery of the Father and of his love, fully reveals man to himself and brings to light his most high calling" (RH 9). Christ provides us with freedom and…

From the beginning of the novel to the very last page, religion seems to be an anchor that keeps everyone grounded. Whenever everyone hits a rough patch or are faced with obstacles that seems out of reach, religion becomes the biggest guidance and support they have. Everyone within the novel is religiously attending church and I strongly believe it’s the only place of outlet for them, whether it’s for difficult times or happy moments. Expression through worship establishes a sense of morality as everyone maintains religion as a guideline for life. It’s amazing how everyone seems to sin like no other but still, on a Sunday morning they’re in their finest dresses and suits, singing, dancing, and praising the lord. I feel the reason everyone is so devoted is because they are aware of their wrong doings but instead of asking for forgiveness, they’re turning to religion to reinforce values and morals to prevent them from committing the same sins in the future. Although it seems to be by choice to commit the sins which occurs regardless, religion seems to be used as a concealment of the sins that one has committed. The hopes or thoughts of attending church might give a gratifying feeling as one hopes that they will be forgiven for their sins even if the extent of the sin is far beyond being forgiven. With that being said, I also thing religion is prevalent within the novel because everyone attending church brings everyone…

This mission reminds us that for the Kingdom of God to continue to break in, individual lives need to be changed, while being motivated and equipped for transformation. Our Book of Discipline offers this cue: “God has used our church to save persons, heal relationships, transform social structures, and spread scriptural holiness, thereby changing the world.” When we change lives and introduce people to the all-loving nature of God, we indeed transform the world. When making disciples, the Church welcomes people into community, educates them on God’s call for Christians, and equips them toward using their spiritual gifts to serve as change agents playing a role in bringing about the Kingdom of…

There are many non-believers that are discouraged by its local churches. Many members of a church act one way when inside of the church building and another as soon as they walk out of the door. For a non-believer, this is just confirmation that they do not want any part of a religion that is hypocritical. Also, many leaders of the church live a lavish lifestyle while citizens of its community struggles to provide food for their families. Why would I want to join an organization that takes my money every week so that they can drive nice cars and live in big houses while I can’t even pay my rent? These are common circumstances that we see and as Christians, it’s our job to eliminate this type of view of our faith.…

I do not agree with this point of view because if they are following their faith to the letter, then most religions teach that God will always be there for you even if you don’t have a faith so you don’t have to believe in Jesus to connect with God. However the fact that they have based what they believe in on the bible shows at least that they are trying to do what they believe is right and what God has told them and what they are supposed to do.…
