Mr Cain Monologue
“Oh forgive me, Mr Cain. But when you were brought in, we had to restrain you so we could get you into the operating theatre. You are a very strong man and it took two orderlies to keep you still.” Dr Mustaph then moved over to the bed and began to undo the restraints.
“I suspect that you are now calm. It should be all right to remove these. Besides you won’t be moving much with that shoulder.”
Lincoln instinctively rubbed each arm as he got free. No stiffness or soreness was present.
“Please Mr. Cain. Can you tell me how you got your injuries? I was told by the people who brought you in that they found you in an alleyway just north of here. It seems you must have fallen off the roof to get such a nasty injury to your head. I won’t ask about

This drug is to help with your recovery. It also relieves the pain in your body. It is a bit like morphine but without the side effects. We are the only hospital that has the authority to use this drug. You will need one of these each day for a few weeks until you have fully recovered. Please, Mr Cain, we are here to help!”
Lincoln stared back at Dr Mustaph and slowly let go of the Nurse’s arm. She relaxed from her worried expression and proceeded to inject the blue liquid into the bag. Lincoln followed the path of the liquid down into his arm. Within a few seconds, the throbbing in his head disappeared and the pain in his shoulder vanished. It was just like morphine, which he had been used to from his fighting in the Middle East. In fact, his whole body relaxed. He was so calm, that his head fell back onto the pillow and he dropped off to sleep.
He awoke again, figuring he must have only been out for a few seconds. But he was now alone in the room. He was still quite pain free and relaxed. That stuff was pretty powerful. So he laid back and tried to think of what his next move would be. But before that, he went over in his mind, all the things that had happened since he woke up. All he could come up with was a massive lot of questions which he had to find answers

My anxiety flutted around in my chest and gripped each breath like a vice. The daunting and steep steps danced in my mind making the simple task of walking up stairs more difficult than the impossible task to run a mile in a minute. Next, a boy pushed the door open behind him almost as an afterthought, but in my chaotic mind it was the best thing all morning to happen. Economic sanctions are a devastating political tool from a nation. “Though economic sanctions appear to be a powerful peacetime weapon, they actually do more harm than good,” (pg. 242) as writer, Thea Karas, states in her article. United States has imposed many economic sanctions, which have had very little impact on the leaders of the other nations. In July of 1941, the U.S. imposed an economic sanction on Japan, which provoked the Japanese and later that year in December they attacked the U.S. at Pearl Harbor. There was also an economic sanction imposed on Iraq by the United Nations, prohibiting Iraq to sell its oil on the international market. What these nations don’t realize is that the real victims of these sanctions aren’t the nation’s leaders but the innocent people. In Iraq due to the lack of selling their product on the market hundreds of Iraqis have died due to the lack of food, malnutrition, or the lack of medical care, and their leader ,Saddam Hussein, weren’t affected in any way, they were instead living in luxury. These economic sanctions have jeopardized relations between nations and instead of helping seek a solution they are usually led onto military conflicts.…
