Many of the climbers who made the ascent on Mt. Everest that day say that they regret going up. Jon Krakauer said, “I wish I’d never gone. I suffered for years with (post-traumatic stress disorder) still from what happened. I’m glad I wrote a book about it, but you know, if I could go back and relive my life, I never would have climbed Everest.” (“Jon Krakauer: Climbing Everest…”) The aftermath of going through something like that would be horrible. Another not so fun thing about Everest is that you could lose body parts or get terribly sick. When Jon Krakauer was climbing Mt. Everest, he and another lady in his group both had cracked ribs from coughing so much. I definitely would not recommend climbing Mt. Everest if you would like to be rich and have good working ribs.
Climbing Mt. Everest is kind of a cool thing to do and many people may enjoy doing so. I however do not think it is worth all the risks that are present. Something that I value is life and that is the main reason that I think it is not worth it. I think that you should be able to have the opportunity to live your life and not die early on a dumb mountain. Some people are risk takers and will feel the need to climb Mt. Everest sometime in their life, but I definitely think that Mt. Everest is not worth
