Navy Federal: Navy federal annual report reflects all the great changes they have made thus far in this year. In March, we welcomed the Coast Guard and their families into our field of membership. We are excited and proud to serve this honorable branch of the U.S. armed forces, who give so much of themselves for our nation every day. To continue delivering outstanding member service, we announced in April an expansion of our operations in Pensacola, Fl., bringing new building construction and 1,500 new jobs to the region, with more to follow. We look forward to growing our presence in Winchester, Va. this fall with the opening of a new office building that will accommodate an additional 450 new employees. From a national perspective, we 've been carefully watching the potential impact of sequestration on the U.S. armed forces and our members. We understand how challenging these times can be, and we 're here to help. Despite such challenges, we 're excited to see that the economy is showing positive signs of growth. Home sales are rebounding, and the stock market is thriving. If you or your family have been considering a purchase like a new home or car, be sure to take a look at our great offers, like our low auto loan rate. We continue to offer some of the best rates nationwide for both savings and lending products. As always, we extend our heartfelt thanks to you for being a part of the Navy Federal family. With your help, we look forward to making 2013 another great year.…

The earth’s crust is made out of plate tectonics. Each plate has a defined boundary and direction it moves. The plates in Earth’s crust perform two actions; they submerge under each other or they spread out. The Pacific Plate is the largest plate and it borders around many plates. The Pacific Plate moves northwest. New crust is formed from magma outpours, which are a result of the zones spreading. The tectonic plates created the islands. When the tectonic plates move, it creates the change in geography. Active volcanoes together shape the way islands are build. The magma from the volcano and the deposits from the plate are needed to create the pacific islands structure. The buildup of deposits eventually pushes pass sea level to create the island. The islands that are part of the same volcanic chain will all take over a millions years to rise.…

The global recession began shortly after the September 2011 crisis, and quickly claimed many victims to unemployment. This financial and economic crisis triggered output contractions in almost all industrialized economies in the year 2009. As businesses cut production in response to lower demands, workers were let go in large numbers, increasing the unemployment rates dramatically. Aside from job losses the quality of employment also deteriorated. Many employees who did not lose their jobs were forced to work above the level previously expected at the same or lower pay. The increase in job insecurity due to the recession resulted in employers having the upper hand, while employees were subject to deteriorating working conditions; however fear of job loss created an environment where employees did not defend their rights. Many organizations were forced to lay off employees due to the economic downturn, however despite economic times many individual business decisions were made that can explain the deterioration of the workplace aside from the necessity of layoffs. While the economy struggled there still were seen large leaps in the finances of large organizations due to the reduction of labor costs rather than rise in production. Some businesses have chosen profit over people; in a time where jobs are tight the organizations are taking advantage of individuals willing to put in extra labor in order to keep a job, therefore reducing employee numbers without reducing production levels.…

NATHO was founded in 2008 to support in the ethical business practices in the travel health care organization. NATHO has a written a code of ethics that covers the relationship between clients and physician providers. This code of ethics is available to all NATHO members. If at any time there needed to be a complaint resolved then it would be filed with the NATHO Ethics Committee. NATHO, also has a written statement available of the Standards of Practice, this includes the performance issues. NATHO wants to assure the public that they apply the highest standards in the industry. The relationship in NATHO’s values and beliefs is that for its members to be responsible in maintaining and promoting ethical practice. Some of NATHO’s responsibilities are to have a signed contract from the client. The contract should state clearly all the conditions of possible fees, and the terms of payment before submitting without clients consent. In ethical terms of this process NATHO values every client. NATHO believes that the member should fulfill the agreement with the client, and the member should not make any promises to the client, unless it can be fulfilled. Another responsibility from NATHO would be for a member to receive permission from a candidate for a specific assignment, and once the candidate approves then the member is to get permission from the client. The ethical rules that fall into place for this standard is that a member should maintain the confidence of the client on all business matters, unless it is directed by the client to reveal their information. Also, a member should not make false statements to a client, candidate, or another member of the organization. Another standard of practice that NATHO considers is that candidates that work with the Travel Health Care companies, they need to establish an agreement relationship in writing. At any time they…

Setting performance standards is the first thing that Lei needs to do. She needs to set up a meeting with the employees and talk about the company rules and regulations and what is expected from each employee. Lei should also talk about setting company goals and employee performance. The policy and procedures should then be reviewed by everyone in the company. Also the employee handbook should be given to everyone so that they know what is expected of them. Lei should also talk about company performance and find ways eliminate employees from reporting time not worked and create a work schedule that will work for everyone. When it comes to measuring performance, Lei should come up with a plan to measure employee performance either by personal observation or written reports. I think that Lei would have to start observing the workers to make sure they are doing their jobs and then make up a written reports, hand to employees on a weekly basis so that they can see how their performance measures and what needs to be correct. Also awarding them for good work would increase leadership visibility. Lei will need to compare performance against the standards and determining deviations. She should compare the work accomplished against the expected work. She should also make it a point to compare the customer complaints to see if there are any deviations occurring now that did not happen before. Lei will also need to take corrective Action and by implementing the bureaucratic control system, she can now take the final step to ensure that operations are adjusted to achieve results, or if significant variances are discovered than Lei can take immediate action vigorous action.…
