Multitasking Very Hard Not To do. It is impossible to avoid multitasking in today’s busy world. We are constantly being overloaded with emails, phone calls, appointments, work and school things to quickly starts to pile up, so to avoid all this we attempt to juggle more activities at once. For some of us multitasking has taken over our lives; with all this new technology, it has become even harder for young people to sit down and have a normal family dinner or a simple conversation to see how other siblings are doing. With all these new gadgets people have forgotten the value of family time or face to face conversations. If I had to change the way I do things, one would perform one task at time, more family dinners and events limiting the use of any electrical gadgets, and have more me time so I would not overload my brain with so many things at the same time. In order to better understand multitasking you would have to look at how you perform your task, have more family time, have more personal time for yourself so you would not overload your brain and start having health issue due to multitasking and its stress. People would start changing by trying not to do too many things at the as homework, surfing the net and answering phone calls all at the same time. People must learn to simplify their lives, by just sticking to one thing at a time for instance by doing just homework I would be able to concentrate more and get lots more done and it would give me time to study more. Like one father has said, “one gets obsesses by with one gadgets” (Wallis 178). We let ourselves get so involved with our gadget that we forget the people around use.
