Muscle Relaxation Essay
Relaxation consists of two components, muscle relaxation and relaxation response. Firstly, muscle relaxation is grounded on the philosophy that if someone can relax one muscle at a time it can teach the whole body to relax. Starting with the muscle in the face, it’s tightened lightly for about one or two seconds after it relaxes, this procedure is recurrent numerous times. This method is used also used in the muscles of the neck, jaw, chest, thighs, feet, upper arms, lower arms, fingers and lastly calves. The entire cycle lasts about forty five minutes in total. Secondly, relaxation response commences with sitting in a relaxed position. Closing the eyes relaxation is able to spread all over the body, due to this technique a breathing pattern
is launched. This constructs thoughts to be readdressed away from everyday point of views to a more balanced mental focus such as a passive image or expression.
