My second strength demonstrated as a leader is my listening skills. I don’t just hear people talk in order to articulate a response, I listen to what they says and what needs are behind what they say. I don’t think managers can be good leaders without truly knowing how to listen to what their employees and customers say. I’ve had a manager in the past that was awful at listening. It isn’t the technical term, but I refer to myself as a chameleon. I have a strong sense of self awareness. When I need to be assertive in a situation I can be assertive. If because of other personality types I need to step back and be passive, I can be passive. I coast the middle ground and assess in a second other people’s personalities. At home I am an introvert who loves peace and quiet. At work, I am an extrovert who enjoys being around people, and doing what it takes to get tasks done.
