My Career Goal Is When I Graduate From

My career goal is when I graduate from Honolulu Community College in my Major (CENT) is to be a computer technician.
The skills I will need to be a successful Computer Technician would be
Active listening-Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
Critical Thinking-using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and, weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools.
Equipment maintenance-performing routine maintenance and using the needed tools. Equipment maintenance-performing routine maintenance on equipment and, determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
Installation-installing equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet Specifications to name a few.
Computers has evolved from the first computers from the “1940s to the present day 2015” The first generation of computers was from 1940 to 1955. Computers were powered by vacuum tubes and used magnetic drums to store data and memory. As generations gone by the computer technologies have progressed! Fast forwarding to the present day 2015. It is amazing to see how the computer has developed, from a computer that filled up a large room to what we have in the workplace and at home today-a smaller, faster version of the 1st computer. With computers, we are able to work quicker and more efficiently because of how advanced they have gotten through the years. They can store masses of memory and data and you can open up many applications on the internet to help with your work. Computers have also shrinked in size and become easier to steal- many people have invested in laptop and computer security to lock down their valuable computers and laptops.
