I chose to identify with being feminine because I have always had more femanine characteristics as in being more nuturing as well as sensitive. 72). This is something that is good or bad that has come to influence an individuals self esteem. A reflected appraisal that has helped shape me is being told I am smart and achieve good grades. This is something family and friends have said my whole life and continue to say while I am pursing my degree. This is something that has always boosted my self esteem and eventually led to me devoloping a high self esteem of myself. Because I was often told I was smart or heard family talking about it I believed what others said and I feel like this shaped the way I studied and how I did in school.
