It is understandable that when one is involved in a case that can lead to time in jail, when it is the appellants turn to talk, the appellant might say the wrong thing at the wrong time. It is known that at one point the appellant had said, he had never driven the green Cadillac that belongs to cristabel pierce. However, on page three paragraph nine evidence shows that the appellant was seen driving the green Cadillac. This shows that the appellants purpose of lying was truly to not seem guilty, and to not be incriminated by his actions. The green Cadillac that the appellant was seen driving that day belonged to Cristabel pierce, the mother of his kids. It is not a coincidence that all of the stolen property was found in cristabels house, where the green Cadillac was parked, Hernandez, who lived across the street also testified on page sixteen paragraph thirteen, that he had asked the appellant what he was doing and he replied by saying he was helping Bernadette move her things, that she knew he was there. Which is not true. Therefore, all of those incidents that prove the appellant is not speaking the truth, make him not only loose credibility but makes him seem more guilty.…

Several elements of the confession did not match up. Such as the timing, the place, and how they were killed. All of these were extremely influential elements that should have been considered, but they were not. The police continued to guide Jessie until the testimony was closer to accurate. The prosecution’s evidence was a mere form of judgment and based on eyewitnesses, in which there was a lack of credible evidence that was positively proved in this case. The prosecution’s claim that there were seven witnesses all near Braintree around the time of the crime who claimed that Sacco looked identical to one of the bandits. The prosecution also claimed that a cap with a hole in it was picked up at the crime scene was similar if not identical to one that Sacco previously owned. The hole might have related to Sacco’s workplace where he religiously hung his cap. One of the seven witnesses, Kelley, claimed the cap was the same brand and color related to Sacco. The evidence against Sacco and Vanzetti about the car relates to when they were arrested. Sacco and…

Vinland, in spite of all of of its bounties, was abandoned for a multitude of reasons, but in addition to those reasons there is another created by the primary reasons, present throughout the stories, but is especially see in Freydis’ treachery. Simply put the plentitude of misfortunes that occurred during the Vikings exploration had soured their desire to remain there. Despite the pleasant climes and abundant food sources the Vikings were plagued by misfortune the entirety of the voyage. It was far easier for them to cut their losses and retreat to Greenland where they already had well established farms and settlement. Looking at the reasons for this retreat the reasons to be addressed in this paper are far from comprehensive, but include…

Characters in the story have changed other characters lives from lying about the murder. For examples, Tony thinks he should pitch, but Steve thinks he can throw a ball, so Steve wanted to show Tony how to throws a rock. When Steve threw the rock a tough guy asks who threw the rock and Steve says, “ Tony! Run!”(42) This would indicate that to me that Tony was the one who threw it. Steve just doesn't want to get hit, so it sounds like Tony did it. As the lesson learned was lying can mess someones life up for something they didn’t, so Tony got punch in the face for something he didn't do. Another example is when Briggs said, “ So you saved yourself some heavy jail time by pointing a finger at Mr. King, isn't that right?” Bolden says, “ I just wanted to do the right thing. You know, like a good citizen.” (55) Bolden just wanted to say it was someone else, so he didn't get in trouble. Although Bolden says it was Mr. King, Briggs, the lawyer, thinks he was trying to be a good citizen in jail. Maybe we should question the legal…

It is understandable that it may be tempting for someone to resist being accountable. They may not want to get in trouble. They may want someone else to take the blame out of spite. Nobody wants to get in trouble, but if everyone lied and avoided justice, we would not be where we are today. Communication is an important part of maintaining accountability with everyone. We should always understand that it is not about being in trouble, it is about learning from our mistakes. If we do not suffer in some form for making a mistake, there is nothing to discourage us from doing it again.…
