The reason why I want to join the United States Navy is because I want to serve my country, experience life in the Navy, and better my life and the world around me.
My desire to join the U.S. Navy grew out of a love for my country and a desire to succeed. I understand that if I were to join, I would be challenging myself every day with new obstacles, which enact me to gain experience. The Navy also gives me the opportunity of the person that I want to be. In this case, serving my country and being an educated student. By this this I will gain satisfaction for myself and ensuring safety for my family and community. In addition, the Navy rewards me to take my career and skills to another level by educating me in
a field of my desire and in the forum halls in college. Not only can I serve my country and work in an area that interests me in the navy, but I can also do things that I could only dream of if I do not join the Navy. I get to travel the world and assimilate for other cultures and languages into practice by traveling and experience. As well as the Navy benefiting me, I also have assets that I carry to enrich the Navy. For example, I know how to be a leader. With my experience at my job, I have gained on how to guide and know how to take lead to get accomplishments done. A leader has vision, values and intelligence that can act in any situation. That I believe I have. Another characteristic that I bring to the table is being physically fit. Being fit means that I am healthy and the Navy doesn’t have to worry about me getting injured or catching the flu. My health is important to me and I keep my body like a fighting machine. In addition, I am also educated. My education has taught me proper English, mathematics, as well as knowing how to deal with stress. Knowing just these three practices, I can help other Navy Shipmates. In conclusion, by joining the Navy, people around me will respect my service and my future will be enhanced by the rewards and be part of a global force for good.
