This is a very elegant looking gown. It consists of mainly different shades of purples. The bodice of the gown consists of a layer of tightly attached silk, covered in jewels and rhinestones. The top of the bodice has a bow shaped pattern attached. This draws your eyes to the top of the bodice. By having the bow on the top of the bodice the same material as the bottom of the gown, it shows how the designer has reused used materials in an effective way. The bottom of the gown is made of a purple shade of silk. Alex Perry has designed the bottom of this dress so that the layers are given with a multiple layering effect; make the gown look ‘fuller’. This photo has been taken with the layers…

The video we saw during class was interesting and it caught my attention since I can relate to what was being said. There was talk about Hispanic Americans and how each generation lived differently. But the main thing I took from the video was the idea of America being an international country; a nation of immigrants. However we must be careful to not assimilate into the masses to the point where we completely forget our heritage. It is our very heritage and culture which contribute to the country which makes our nation an international nation.…
She gave me this lousy ball gown and glass slippers. Glass. I don’t know anyone who would wear glass shoes. Probably phonies. I looked alright.…

I couldn't hold in the excitement when she asked me. She gave me a book about flower girls, and I still have it sitting on my wooden desk in my room today. Her wedding was beautiful, she was walking down the aisle in a elegant white dress, and a big smile on her face. I will never forget that beautiful moment, and how much happiness there was. Her life was short, but she loved life so much.…
I arrived to a church crowded with friends and family. So many people had gone to St. John’s Cathedral to witness the simple, yet elegant, tradition. There were also relatives from Mexico and Puerto Rico who took the long tiring trip to attend. I was honored to see so many people there on my special day. My court of honor led the way into the church. When it was my turn to walk down the aisle, soft music was played by the organist. I felt like a princess walking in my big, beautiful ball gown. My gown was similar to a wedding dress except it was a pastel pink. When the ceremony started it was nerve racking. I was thinking about my hair and people staring at me from behind, and hoping my tiara or…
I actually work at a dress shop and I’ve thought about how those dresses were made. Every dress company has a location where they make their dresses, like China. Each dress is handmade and takes many hours and hard work to make. I believe this is an art of craft and has high value in a woman’s world. I also own many dresses of my own from going to prom and participating in various pageants. The next time I am wearing one of these delicate dresses I am going to take a minute to think about the hard work and long hours that it took to make my dress just for me.…

The experience was very memorable. I am very grateful to have been a part of that day with 2 people starting a new chapter in their life. I remember thinking about living with your best friend and soul mate forever and it was a dream I cannot wait to experience directly. I learned a lot on the planning of a wedding and now I have experience.…
The old rule was a second time bride shouldn’t wear white. In fact, it used to be that if you were marrying for a second time, the less fuss the better. Rules have changed, however, and now you can pick and choose to wear anything you want. The only rule is not to wear the dress you wore the first time. You may have spent ten thousand dollars on it, but leave it in your closet. Save it for your daughter, or donate it to a good cause. You are starting a brand new life with a brand new marriage, why wear a reminder from the past? So a good suggestion is to go with a look that’s totally different in style or even to have a different fabric from the first wedding gown.…
