Life Event 1 (MAID of HONOR):*

In one paragraph, explain why this event was significant to you.*
The day my best friend called and she said was getting married was a wonderful day. What added to that call was being asked to be a maid of honor in their wedding. The joining of 2 hearts, 2 cultures, and 2 souls is an undesirable feeling.

In a second paragraph, describe how you felt after the experience. *
The experience was very memorable. I am very grateful to have been a part of that day with 2 people starting a new chapter in their life. I remember thinking about living with your best friend and soul mate forever and it was a dream I cannot wait to experience directly. I learned a lot on the planning of a wedding and now I have experience.

Life Event 2 (WCC GRAD):*

In one paragraph, explain why this event was significant to you.*
When I graduated from community college in 1995 it was a significant change in my life. I took the next step and expanded my mind to learn an array of things and meet people who also took the challenge to learn on another level. In a second paragraph, describe how you felt after the experience. *
I enjoyed my college years. It was not a piece of cake but I never gave up on whatever my professor gave me as an assignment or project. I was so glad I went to school and let it enrich my mind. Learning any specific subject is ethical to our brains, to work and our lives. Everyone should invest in some type of college or technical class.

College provides students several concepts, ideas, among other things. However, that information might become meaningless if we do not put it into use in our daily lives. As Deresiewicz pointed out with Lewis Lapham experience, it is possible to do so, it is just a matter of attitude. By doing this, we would be making the most of our college…

I couldn't hold in the excitement when she asked me. She gave me a book about flower girls, and I still have it sitting on my wooden desk in my room today. Her wedding was beautiful, she was walking down the aisle in a elegant white dress, and a big smile on her face. I will never forget that beautiful moment, and how much happiness there was. Her life was short, but she loved life so much.…

Learning is a window of opportunities for me now, because I don’t want to stop. I was always told that you should learn something new every day. So as long as you live, life in general is a learning experience. Majority of community college students are older adults mainly they need the training to work in a certain field, or their out of work and in order to qualify for a position, they have to take a class for that trade. Or sometimes, people just want to change their careers and they need the skills; degree, or certification to land the job they…

Each of these experiences has had an amazing impact on my life in one way or another. Graduating from high school was a big deal for me as well as my family. I was the first of my grandmother’s grandkids to graduate from high school. After graduating from high school I worked hard and paid to rent my first apartment. Having my own space and becoming independent was something I have always wanted because I had to share everything growing up. I have two beautiful daughters whom have changed my…

My little girls’ birth is the most important moment/event in my life. Just the fact that she might not of lived was unimaginable, she is the reason that I keep going everyday & keep praying to God to give me strength to give her a better life, and my little girl has changed me in that I don’t take things for granted instead I think things through along with changing the way I see life.…

I have gone from a high school graduate, who had no clue what to do with her life after high school, to a young woman who knows what she needs to do in order to help families through tough times. I am happy that I took some time off between high school and college, because it gave me time to go out and make a few mistakes, learn what I know I want to do, and steer me into the right direction. If it had not been for my time off and events that had happened then, I would not be writing this paper today, I would be graduating college with a degree in accounting and hating tax season even more than normal.…

My stomach was in knots and I was extremely anxious as we arrived at the brightly lit, decorated venue. I walked my sister down the aisle. Memorable Moments

Walking down the aisle on that special day is often times, one of the most memorable moments in life. In fact, I would venture to guess that it is one of the events where the most pictures are taken. At least that was the case at this particular wedding! The photograph was taken on December 8, 2006 on the wedding day of my Aunt Maureen and Uncle Eric, shortly after saying “I Do.” My aunt is in a beautiful champagne colored wedding gown and my uncle in a tux. His left arm is intertwined with her right and you can see a glimpse of her wedding ring. It is a beautiful representation of the love that was shared throughout the entire event, in which I had the honor of being a bridesmaid for the first time. When I was younger, I had been a flower girl in a couple of weddings, including my own mother’s. This wedding marked a special milestone that only at the age of thirteen I was grouped with everyone else as a bridesmaid. I know it is an honor to be a bridesmaid in any wedding, but this was a big deal to me. I am extremely close with my Aunt Maureen – as her niece, friend, and sometimes daughter. Being asked to stand witness to such a beautiful and exciting event made me feel loved, and proud, and nothing made me happier than to say yes to these two people being married. Elegant, beautiful, amazing, and graceful don’t even begin to describe Maureen on that day, nor any other day.…
