I lived in Branson, Mo so I would always get the workout I needed for my events. My coach’s would envy that I did that to become a better runner. One coach in particular was really proud of me for that and his name is Coach Blackwell. He and I would always go running after school and he would get mad because I would always out run him. So a month later came the competing part of track I remember my first track meet like it was yesterday. It was a clear day very warm, the stands filled with excited mom’s and dad’s and the runners siblings and their friends. The first event was the 100m dash my best friend Chastin Jolley was in that race. He was so nervous about the race but I knew he would do great because I would see him run circles around the people he raced with at practice. He ended up beating the other runners. It seemed like forever but they called my event the 4X800m. All of the runners for my school who were participating in that race were all giving everyone confident boost telling each other “We got this” or “You’ll do great”. The first runner who was up was James Quinlin he was the starter he gave us a huge lead on the race, next was Anthony Larson he kept up the winning pace, Then it was Micah Daniels he also kept up the lead, Finally came my turn the Anchor, The Anchor has the most
