My first job was working at Elleson’s Bakery during high school. Every weekend I would wake up at 4:30 in the morning, usually by the fifth alarm I would wake up, and get ready and walk the two blocks to the bakery to open for customers at five. My, and the other girls who worked there, the job was to keep the bakery clean and work behind the counter to serve.
While I worked, I served the people of my hometown, Elleson’s is still I believed the best place to have a donut and my town loves donuts. There were many busy mornings when the shop would be packed with people wanting orders of donuts, cakes, and bread. …show more content…
Working in a small business, there were compassion and reason in all of my actions at work. From giving a little girl a pink smiley face cookie to helping someone order a cake for their parent’s fifth anniversary. There were regulars who would always have the same order to customers who are stopping by in town and are from across the country, every person I encountered I knew that I was making their day with sweets and pastries
