My Hero's Cape is Imaginary A hero is a person admired for their achievements and noble qualities. My grandfather is my hero because he has all the attributes of a hero and puts others before himself. Not all heroes wear capes and my grandfather is one of those heros. He possesses the characteristics that any legendary hero possesses. He is the most caring and selfless person I know. My grandfather is your everyday average person doing everyday things. He is not only a hero to me but a hero to the church and the community. He was drafted by mistake because he was in college at the time of the draft and if you were in school you didn’t have to be drafted. He served in the war even though he was not willing to and proudly fought for his country. My grandfather then went on to serve his city and his community. He finished college with a criminal justice major and became a police officer. He saved many lives in his career, and was an integral in making the people of the community feel safe and protected. He helps in the community by giving back to the homeless by giving food, water, and money. He also gives funds to areas affected by natural disaster
My grandfather does things without reward and doesn't like to accept rewards when they are given. He is selfless and makes many sacrifices to make the people around him happy. For example my mother needed to pay her light bill but didn’t have the funds, so my grandpa gave her the money even though it was his last. As a police officer he had a case where he eventually discovered that a police officer was raping prostitutes. He accepted the praise but he felt like as a police officer that is what he was suppose to do, catch the bad guys. He believes that all people are naturally good until he sees otherwise. Even if it was someone he disliked he wouldn’t think twice about risking his own life for them. That's why i see him as my
