Dr. Boling My High School Sweetheart
As she walked by, I felt a warm vibrating sensation run through my chest. And with every gulp, my lungs expanded as I inhaled her charming aroma. If I had to describe it, I would say it was a peachy fragrance, the type of scent that rejuvenates my weary heart and gives me strength. I then realized that with every breath, she seemed to get closer and closer. With every step she took towards me, I admired her glamor. Her bright yellow shirt blended in with the glare of the sun’s rays while her shorts were the color of the clouds. All this I observed before her arrival. When she arrived, she said, “Hello Sergey!” and I, with a smile, said hello. Her beauty was remarkable; the more eye contact we made, the more irresistible she appeared to be. We set together, on the sandstone bench outside her theater class. Being next to her lightened my day and added color to my world. I wanted to tell her that. I wanted to whisper it to her heart. I wanted to let her know that she was the sky, the sun, the air; she was everything and everywhere. But it was too late, by then she had said goodbye and continued on her distinctive path. I then placed my head down to see the dull gray ground. My pupils decreased in size and I then became surrounded by the past. One smile, one look, that’s all it took for her, to sweep me of my feet. I was obsessed with her. I couldn’t stop thinking about her; the imagery of her gorgeous eyes, her sexy, soft, warm, luscious lips kept running through my mind. The shape of her curvy body that was a perfectly tanned drove me crazy. My addiction towards this beautiful person grew stronger with each and every moment we shared together.
Perhaps the most memorable one took place a week prior to our relationship. It was a rainy day, and the bell had just rung dismissing me from my last class. As I got up, I zipped up my brown leather jacket and walked out the

I will never forget holding her and letting my mind wander, listing all the new opportunities I was now able to have. Outside, only the moon shone. A sort of emptiness was cast within the room. Suddenly, in the midst of this darkness a sweet, faint tune started spreading. Surprised, I woke her up, and we made our way across the room, curiosity taking ahold of us.…

While I look down at it, I think of a boy I once knew, of how, for a short time, he was a dash of color in my monochrome world. I think of how I drew him flowers; how one morning, he stood silently behind me and watched me draw them with a broken pen; how he swiped the card I drew them on away from me and held it close to his eyes, smiling, telling me how much he liked them. I remember going home that night and painting flowers the same strawberry pink as the tulip resting in my fingers, and I remember drawing those flowers again in black and white a week later. Those I drew on an envelope with his name written in large cursive letters in the middle. Inside was a goodbye I knew…

I saw her as the cloud of smoke cleared. The air was rich with the smell of intoxicants, but I could’ve smelt her from a mile away. She didn’t smell of anything extravagant or dreamy or clichéd or romantic. She just smelt of fresh laundry – that crisp smell that makes you think of something new and exciting. It’s hard to say much about love-at-first-sight and be taken seriously.…

<br>His heart began to beat faster as Daisy's white face came up to his own. He knew that when he kissed this girl, and forever wed his unutterable visions to her perishable breath, his mind would never romp again like the mind of God. So he waited, listening for a moment longer to the tuning-fork that had been struck upon a star. Then he kissed her. At his lips' touch she blossomed for him like a flower and the incarnation was complete.…

They were up on a picnic table at that park by the lake, by the edge of the lake, with part of a downed tree in the shallows half hidden by the bank. Lane A. Dean, Jr., and his girlfriend, both in bluejeans and button-up shirts. They sat up on the table’s top portion and had their shoes on the bench part that people sat on to picnic or fellowship together in carefree times. They’d gone to different high schools but the same junior college, where they had met in campus ministries. It was springtime, and the park’s grass was very green and the air suffused with honeysuckle and lilacs both, which was almost too much. There were bees, and the angle of the sun made the water of the shallows look dark. There had been more storms that week, with some downed trees and the sound of chainsaws all up and down his parents’ street. Their postures on the picnic table were both the same forward kind with their shoulders rounded and elbows on their knees. In this position the girl rocked slightly and once put her face in her hands, but she was not crying. Lane was very still and immobile and looking past the bank at the downed tree in the shallows and its ball of exposed roots going all directions and the tree’s cloud of branches all half in the water. The only other individual nearby was a dozen spaced tables away, by himself, standing upright. Looking at the torn-up hole in the ground there where the tree had gone over. It was still early yet and all the shadows wheeling right and shortening. The girl wore a thin old checked cotton shirt with pearl-colored snaps with the long sleeves down and always smelled very good and clean, like someone you could trust and care about even if you weren’t in love. Lane Dean had liked the smell of her right away. His mother called her down to earth and liked her, thought she was good people, you could tell—she made this evident in little ways. The shallows lapped from different directions at the tree as if almost teething on it. Sometimes when…

Once upon a time there lived a young couple who had found true love and were bound together by fate. His name was Brian and hers was Melody. They lived it the beautiful city of Anchorage, Alaska. Brian was a C-17 Pilot stationed at Elmendorf AFB and Melody a 1st grade teacher at local school. Melody was a beautiful sight; her body was athletic, her hair fell over her shoulders and was highlighted to the most beautiful blonde, her skin was flawless and her eyes were blue but not an ordinary blue; like a tropical ocean and they sparkled like the water when the sun hit it. Brian wasn’t so bad himself. He was what all girls dreamed prince charming to be. He was tall and worked out often; his muscles could be seen through his shirt, his hair was dark, his skin tan, and one could get lost in his piercing green eyes. Brian and Melody spent every chance they had together outside of their busy schedules. They went on evening walks together and early morning jogs. They sat on their front porch and watched the sun rise and set in the beautiful snow covered Mountains of Anchorage. Most weekends the couple would make time for dinner and a movie. Brian and Melody were made for each other. Even a stranger could clearly see the love they had for each other would never die.…

It's happens all the time. High School Sweethearts go off to college. Usually, they go off to different colleges and that ends it pretty quickly. But what happens when they actually go to the same college and see each other every day? It may be more difficult to break it off, but as people grow and mature, especially at that age, they tend to go their separate ways. And that's OK. It's almost expected. There are occasions where they stay together and live happily ever after, but that's not the norm. The girl felt her shoulders relax and her breath begin to slow down to a comfortable breathing pattern. She took two deep breaths before her left foot stretched out in front of her, and her right arm stretched backwards. The unfamiliar feeling spread through her quite quickly. She couldn’t dance. Had never even taken a dance lesson, but somehow she knew exactly what to do when she stepped foot into the abandoned dance academy. It was as if the big ballerina slippers melted onto her feet and the melody held her on chords that drew her every other way. She didn’t mind, though, it was…

I closed my eyes and fell into an abyss of dreams and nightmares crafted by painful memories. I found myself walking through a golden field of crops in Northern Mississippi; at my side was my childhood crush, but before I could embrace the moment the world around me fast forwarded to the day she left me without reason. I woke up in the middle of the night; my eyes ricocheted off the walls, repelling off my sheriff’s hat on the dresser to the white ceiling, I’ve never noticed the cracks up there, overlapping one another, together forming a cross above my head, I then fell back to my dormant state. Once again I found myself walking through an Elysian field holding hands with another girl, this time it was my high school girlfriend but once again she too departed from me. I reawoke in another dream; this time with my wife, her name was Faith, at first I was afraid because I thought she also would have left me, but she was different, at least until she vanished from our world. She was so beautiful; her golden silk hair fell down her back like a waterfall, her eyes; blue like the bluest of oceans, and her smile was oh so sweet, she radiated with serenity. She walked ahead of me, she turned and gazed into my eyes, I looked back and was heaved in by her gravitational affection, then the world suddenly faded to black leaving me in darkness.…

We were inseparable and always spending time together. I will never forget all my memories with her. The constant sleepovers, the late night phone calls and the time when she just listened and be there for me when I need her. I still remembered when we were fourteen; she threw the biggest birthday party and invited the whole class. We had a ball at her party. I even surprised her by dedicating a song for her at the end of the day. She told me it was the best gift that anyone could have ever given her.…
