My Impression of the Usa
My impression of the USA - rettelse

At first I want to say I love America! And my impression of it is good. I got this predilection for America because; I have cousins who live there. One of them: Anne-Marie, went home to Denmark this summer, to visit the family. She was very kind and polite, and I thought it was interesting to talk to her, because she told me about their different cultures, norms etc. When I talked to her I also got the impression that the structure of the Government, their laws and the way people relate to each other has great influence on the individual, and its actions and attitudes. Anne-Marie also told me a lot about the Indians and Cowboys. So now when I hear the words: The United States of America, I think in my head: “The land of the free, and the home for the lovely race!” The second thing that everything over there is bigger compared to Denmark. Or I quest so: the burgers are bigger, the volume size of snacks, their houses is really huge, the people are larger and finally their cars are bigger. I guess the cars are more than twice as big as Danish cars. Maybe everything is bigger over there because in some ways, America is a more modernized country than for instance Denmark is. One of the reasons could be that America is the most powerful among the technically advanced countries in the world today. Inter alia because their military, the pentagon and all the encryption, and a lot of the highly popular brands such as Apple, also comes from America. And America’s influence on the shaping of international relations is absolutely incalculable. But America is a large country and its people haven’t so far shown much interest in great international problems, among which big problem the global warming is today. But despite all this, I will make it clear that America has beautiful values and I think they have a prosperous country.

The author begins with famous quote lines as a clear example of “American exceptionalism” and the idealistic descriptions of the United States, especially over the last two centuries. As the author notes how American exceptionalism is similar to other nations that claimed exceptionalism as well. He clears out there are no differences between them when it comes to their self-assertion conduct, many which resulted in a righteous attitude that leads them to think they are positive role models to the world. A believe that makes the Americans with their privileges and unique qualities to think they are superior than others, when in fact they are no less different.…

Americans believe they live in a beautiful country. There are many advantages to living in America, such as having a secure government, a controlled military, a judicial system that works, breathtaking landscapes, cleanliness, and the many freedoms that are granted to citizens in the U.S. Constitution. America became a rising power early in its life, allowing for these benefits. Although the United States of America is one of the great world powers, and perhaps the most supreme, its economic practices are driven toward the idea of spending and consumerism and the population’s values have become entirely reconstituted since its founding.…

When you hear the word "America", what do you think of? Many would associate this word with freedom, home, friendliness, opportunity, or even greatness. The truth of this reality is that America isn't what people imagine it to be. Americans suggest their country is the greatest place in the world but in fact the corruption, debt, lack of public services and the rude behavior of its people makes America come up short of other's expectations. We the people only imagine it to be great because we live here. The real question to ask yourself is whether everything you have to say about America is true?…

America means a lot of things to me, like freedom, safe, brave, equal, and responsibility. The reason I picked these things is because I think they are all very important to this country. The reason why I picked freedom is because in America, you have the right to do and say whatever you want. For example, the phrase freedom of speech, which means that someone’s right to say something is protected within certain limits. What that means is that someone can say whatever they want, but after you say it, there could be consequences, like someone getting hurt if you yelled “fire” in a place that has a lot of people or if you walked into an airport and yelled “bomb.” You have the right to say that, but if you do, there will be consequences like going to jail or something like that. There is also something called freedom of expression, which means people can behave like they want to and wear what they want to.…

Many people dream about being an American. They dream because they envision America as the land of peace and prosperity. But is it? At times it has been, and at times its not. It is hard for the United States to be correct all the time because they have been unwilling designated as the "World Police". Throughout history there have been examples politically, economically, and socially, where being an American is rewarding and times where it is embarrassing. To be an American means progress. We evolved from a world ruled by white men to a world of equal opportunity.…

On July 14th, 1776, America’s founding fathers established the United States of America. In doing so, they had created a unique country that today holds together and unites many people from many different regions of Earth. As many say, America is really just one giant “melting pot.” The reason that statement exists however is because of the way this country was established - with ideas in mind that benefit the citizens. These ideas have existed throughout the centuries enticing more and more people to come and experience what is known as “The American Experience.” This so-called “experience” is the direct answer to the common question, “What is America?”. People come to America for a new start, a new life, and potentially great success. The…
