There are several leader characteristics I display on a daily basis through family life, and work life. I am a wife, mother, sister, aunt, and army civilian. This method allows two-way trust to be built. It is paramount we work as a team to be proficient in getting assigned task completed with efficiency. An effective leader has to be able to read people, and be honest which gives them credibility resulting in trust and confidence of their followers. Leaders do what they say they will do, keep promises, and follows through on commitments. They should have a clear idea of what others’ value and skills they possess. If people are put to use in a capacity in which they are comfortable and also have opportunity for growth. Allowing people to feel empowered helps them achieve success and have a sense of ownership and pride.
My leadership philosophy is about making genuine connections to people. In order to influence people to be great leaders, all the key factors should be tapped in to in some capacity. I make sure my actions speak louder than my word. I lead by example by rolling up my sleeves and showing team members I am not just an army civilian but a part of the team. This philosophy applies to my life whether at work or home. I credit these key factor as the core of becoming a great and effective
