My Life After High School
At the last day of 8th grade your teachers, friends, and family all congratulate you for finishing this school year. You have finished the year with good grades and maybe made new friends, just like every other kid in the school. Is this how you want to be remembered, by being like everyone else? A legacy is how you will be remembered by for what you did in your life. The legacy you leave will leave a huge impact to your life and to others. At the end of 8th grade, I want to remembered for thinking outside the box, the person who was willing to go above the beyond. If I were to leave a great legacy, I will have definitely improved my grades in all of my classes. My family would think of me as a person who wants fix every mistake I have made outside and inside of school. In fact, I would also help my classmates so they won’t make any of the mistakes I have made. I would be recognized by my determination and focus. Also for my confidence and my athletic ability. I hope my abilities would help me improve my mistakes and will leave a good reputation. …show more content…
If you don’t set goals and learn from your mistakes, you won’t achieve anything. What goals will I set in my life? A major goal of mine is to learn as much as I can in school so in the future I will be a smart and brilliant person. For instance, I will try to ask questions, study every test a week before it starts and try to answer problems even if they are wrong. I also spend a lot of time running in track and field. When I race myself, I usually like to time myself so I can improve from my previous score. If you live long enough, you'll make mistakes. But if you learn from them, you'll be a better person. It's how you handle adversity, not how it affects

I had to dig deep for this! Dig deep to figure out what big problems I faced throughout these past years. It wasn't easy for me because I faced many difficulties throughout my life. Then I remember a time in my first 2 years of high school. I was oblivious. Confuse about my future. Whether I wanted to do something after high school. I have to admit school wasn't my priority in freshman year. I wouldn't get the best grade, but they weren't the worst either. All I cared about is having friends. Then something hit me. Seeing all these seniors not graduate on time. Seeing many kids struggle financially after high school. I eventually notice that those who go to college succeed more. Especially being a minority it's extremely difficult to succeed…

I have chosen Jeremy Bailon to be the person that I will leave my legacy on. I’m good friends with Jeremy’s brother, Joshua Bailon, but I’ve never taken the time to get to know Jeremy. We were both apart of the cross country team at Gilbert Christian High School (GCHS), but we had our own group of friends on the team. This is one of the reason that I chose Jeremy. We knew each other beforehand, but we never actually engaged in any meaningful conversation. This project will provide me with the perfect opportunity to get to know Jeremy better, and how to leave a lasting legacy upon them. There are several reasons as to why I picked Jeremy to be the person I will leave my legacy on.…

Imagine… you are getting all dressed up for that big day. You get anxious and scared because it’s the graduation for eighth grade. You get all dressed up and put on your gown and cap. Then you arrive at the school. You sit in the assigned seat and watch the children before you get up and shake hands. You feel your hands get clammy as you wait. You wait till you hear your name and realize that it’s your time to shine. You stand up and hear the creaking of the harwood on your shoes. Then you feel your hands and wipe them down, but when you get up there you shine like a supernova. Everyone's eyes are on you. You realize that it’s your time to show who you are and time to reflect on your legacy here. A legacy is what you leave behind for people…

It is the day of your 8th grade graduation. You look around and see your friends and family. You begin to think back and ask yourself “Where has it all gone?” It all seems like a blur. Think back through the years. How do you think the people you have encountered think about you? Will they think of you in a positive way or a negative way? The way in which you are remembered is your legacy. Some people will have respectable legacies, while others won’t. It is up to you what type of legacy you have. I hope that at the end of 8th grade, I will have a respectable legacy.…

Today I am asked to reflect on my eighth grade year and how it has changed me and my view going into ninth grade. I believe that I have changed a lot since the beginning of the year and I think that a lot of what I learned in eighth grade will reflect in ninth grade. I learned a lot of different things this year that I will carry with me into high school. All of these ranging from simple things like doing your homework, to putting in the most effort.…

Elaboration/Analysis: By completing all homework, I will have a higher G.P.A. and more opportunities to gain scholarships. Stepping up my efforts will teach me how to be humble in serving others before myself. I will feel special and impactful because I have always wanted to be the role-model who helps out in the community. If I make it all the way to the NFL, then it will have said that all of the people who have doubted me were wrong because I achieved “MY” dream by putting my heart and soul into what I wanted in my…

I am looking forward to describing my most memorable high school and college experiences. I would really love for my teachers to appreciate me for all the hard work I’ve done. For those people that didn’t know about my ambition and what it really meant to sacrifice, it meant a lot to my family. I’ve gotten involved in school activities, community service, and school events and a lot more. I felt that once I graduated from school I would be able to get involved with continuing education even more.…

We are always asked what we want our legacy to be. Well, I want my legacy to be exactly what I want it to be. That I’m kind, humble, outgoing, that I don’t care what people say, a good leader, and much more. I know that Gage has been a handful this year, but I have to say I love the little guy. I want him to always remember me as his faith family leader. I want to always run up and hug me when I see him. “Standing in the hall of fame, and the world’s gonna know your name” I want Gage to always remember my name.…

As of now, I have placed in soccer tournaments with various soccer clubs (some of them in the premier division, which is the highest division in MOSA), won elementary school chess tournaments, won the "Catena Fun Run" for my age group, and got the most noteworthy presidential grant there is when I graduated fifth grade. I self-taught myself the piano and can play many classical pieces such as "Turkish March" and "Nutcracker", am in honors math and the gifted and talented program, made "Back in Black" band for my saxophone, and got to go to all the track meets for the 200 meter run, even winning one. Last of all, I received all A+s in every subject for every marking period in 7th grade. Each and every one of these achievements is a piece of my story, or my legacy, and could be considered as great accomplishments for one of my age. Obviously, though, I still have a lot more room to accomplish more and grow, and add bits of success to my legacy. I would like to have the success of being accepted into Biotec, and later go on to become a doctor of some sort. As I proceed with my life, I would also want accomplishments in my interests, activities, and schooling to become part of my legacy as well. However, accomplishments are great, but something else is an important part of your legacy- change. As of now, I haven't really made any immense or significant changes to the school or world. I mean, with everything you accomplish you definitely alter your school and world in some small way, but when I think of a great big change, I think of something that positively impacts everyone in a specific group, such as a school or world. This is why again, I don’t think I have made any huge changes as of now, but I would like to and without a doubt plan on doing so in the future. That's part of the reason I want to become a doctor- with every person they help heal, those people can get back on their feet and…

I always strived to do the best that I can, in everything that I do, and this especially applies to academics. In 6th grade, I joined the honors program at my middle school; from then on forward, I made sure than my work was of high enough quality so that the following year I would be placed in honors courses. These courses are what I believe prepared me for my success in high school. I got a taste of what it was like to be in an environment where every pupil was hungry for an education and for knowledge, and I grew to want to learn as much as my classmates. I entered high school with courses that upperclassmen had that challenged me more than anything else had before. It was during my freshman year of high school that I realized that I couldn’t…

Through the mistakes people make, I learn life's most valuable lessons. My friends understood my philosophy but they saw me as soulless for seeing people’s mistakes as good. As a child, I watched the mistakes my relatives made within their families, which caused their children to be taken into custody. Although I felt sorry for the family at the time, I made sure I used their mistakes to direct my path. I never would want my family to be at a continuous feud. To me, not making mistakes is the biggest mistake one can make. My parents, especially, made many errors that resulted in them not being as successful. Therefore, I dream to obtain a profitable career and live an accomplished life so I won't encounter the same potholes people around me fell…

Education has always been one of the most important things to me, and I am dedicated to learn as much as humanly possible. Throughout my high school career I have challenged myself by completing six advanced placement classes and taking other honors classes. I was inducted into the National Honors Society during my junior year of high school, and I graduated with honors. Both of these successes are the two greatest accomplishments of my high school career. These two achievements prove how dedicated I was, and still am, to getting the best education I could. High School was a great experience. Not only did it teach me about Math, History and English, but it also taught me about choices and consequences. I had several close friends who did not get the same experience that I did. One of my friends had a rough start in life. At the end of our junior year she became pregnant with her first child. We started our senior year ready to celebrate our high school years coming to an end. She had so many plans for after high school. As the school year went on she expressed to me how her child father was being very supportive at first, but recently felt that he was no longer treating her the same.…
